Őrség National Park

The best way to appreciate this lovely area is on foot or, like I did, by bicycle. Pretty villages, glorious vistas and abundant nature make this a relaxing and rewarding place to visit. The roads are largely free of heavy traffic though the signposting for the Orseg 2 bike trail which I tried to follow was rather erratic. I somehow ended up on the busy Route 86 which is on the east side of the area and it was not pleasant!

Lots to see and do. Walking trails and visitor attractions. Mostly nature and historical culture focused.

Exhibit was closed due to heavy rainfall in the previous weeks. Goats are nonetheless cute.

Great place to escape from the city

The name of the place is Lapok haza and is actually wetland. Bring portable chairs with and enjoy to sit near the stream in the shaddow. It is really enjoyable. It is lovely surrounding and the driving through villages will bring you back in old times.

It's the most beautiful place in Hungary.

A magical place with a unique atmosphere. The forests are like in a fairy tale, and the local dialects are like in a standup comedy.
You have to try dödölle when you visit! And mushroom cream soup!

I live inside the National Park. Lots of woods, wildlife.

Went through the park on bike during our trip. Nice not very hilly terrain with lot of woods and some lakes.
