Selim Cave

The cave is fantastic, those who has claustrophobia can visit as well because it's an opened and spacious one. The rocks on the path leading there is a bit slippery so take care guys even in sunny weather! No entry fee and also it is worth to stop by at the Turul Bird, that statue is monumental and the view from up there is stunning!

Unexpectedly wonderful place, its small cozy cave, but it's absolutely worth to see. I guess even claustrophobic people will enjoy it.

Very crowded, but with a spectacular view. Kids were impressed. Easy to reach, like a walk in the park. We exited the cave on one of its wide openings on the left upper side and took the narrow path which goes along the hill and has the drop on one side. It leads to another, smaller cave. Once passed that there is a small climb which will take you back to the main forest road. Terraces, ice cream shops and grill places nearby. Other points of interests, via ferrata, the Tatabánya's vulture and the huge view point.

Only 10 minutes nice walk from the car park and it is free. Huge cave and you can reach Turul monument and Ranzinger Vince lookout from there.

Its increadible, especially in these cold but sunny days. There are less people, so you can create amazing pictures, but dont forget to bring a termos with hot tea. ;)

It is a very nice place to visit on a lazy afternoon. Be prepared that others might like to visit this place too, so it can be crowded on some days. However it's worth the short walk, the cave is very nice and you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama. If you are looking for an adrenalin rush, you can try the via ferrata on the rocky side of the hill too.

Beautiful cave to visit, great experience with kids, they can climb around fairly safely.

Surprisingly big cave with a great view to Tatabánya. There are two paths from parking zone to the cave: One is a well-marked route at the same level and an other, which starts 200m lover on stairs. This second is my favorite, because it has a really beautiful view and I can feel the size of the chasm.

Szelim cave is located in northwestern Hungary, 948 feet above a valley, near the city of Tatabánya. The cave has been used for shelter by local villagers over the centuries. These days it is easily accessible and the cave is watched over by a memorial of Turul
