Great weather today for a stroll with the kids. Found several kinds of mushrooms, and even some late forest berries. The playground is a lot of fun.

Serene landscape, spanning views, plenty of animals - deers, wild boar, mouflon, hedgehogs, forest and meadow birds; sightings are almost always guaranteed. Edible mushrooms and forest berries grow among beech, hornbeam, oak and pine. Peculiarities include heritage walks and flower rich limestone grassland on the hillsides. Every step brings back childhood memories.

The green outskirts of Budapest definitelly worths to see them.
Various kind of trecking, biking routes lot of good belvedere points, geocache, etc.

Easy to reach with car but also with public transportation.

Good place for families with dogs/pets!

Play-grounds also available for little ones - just in case the forest, valeys and hills would not be enough :)

Has space for kids, animals and nice for couples too.
You can bring your food or buy from one of the cafes/restaurants here.

The area offers breathtaking views, well made paths and easy access. Buses 21 and 21A will take you within 2 km of the peak Janos-hegy, which then can be reached even with a strollers and wheel chair. The Elisabeth tower atthe top is accessible from 08.00 to 20.00 without an admission fee, but has no elevator.

A beautiful place to run and walk in the nature. There are free restrooms and outdoor barbeque places. For the kids, there's a nice playground. An ideal place to do outdoor activities with the family. The trash baskets were full, though. They should be emptied more frequently. And some places in the forest, you can see litter, which is a shame. It's such a nice place. In spring, you can see a carpet of spring flowers. The parking lot is relatively small, but it's free. There are walkways for hikers and a forest track for runners. There are some benches and tables too to have your snack. I'd definitely recommend the place.

Good place to have a walk in the forest with the kids and the dog. Please note this is a living forest with animals who are hiding from human appearance so keep your dog within hearing distance. Rabbits, ferrets, foxes, deers, fawns and bores live here.

Wonderful forest and fields, amazing wildlife (both the flora and the fauna is incredible). If you would like to know more about the hungarian wildlife, I strongly recommend a visit to Vadaspark. It is located near to Budakeszi, and also a part of the Buda Landscape Protection Area. Don't forget your camera, children, and have a nice walk!

Definitely worth visiting - this park is a beautifully preserved forest that's frequented by families. There's a tiny creek running by the roads, a waterfall, a clearing to stop for a picnic at, and a even a small fortress ruin.

Good trip, can be done with small children. Has a parking place, where you can buy drinks and ice cream. The path itself is 3.5 km, with varius terrain.

Lavishly green , people - friendly, parking slots are available for car drivers and promenades for pedestrians. Cafes and restaurants are around. Nice area for a getaway weekend.

Easily reachable by public transportation. Beginner hikers will most probably like to visit the hill and the surrounding forest area.

Aka nice weekend escape from the city.
