Galeb

We have come here on our last 3 trips to Pula as it is so good. We always have a walk down to Valkane beach and a meal at Galeb on one of our days.
Food is lovely, prices fair and the atmosphere is anything from lively to peaceful depending on the time/day you go. Do visit and enjoy! It's worth a 30 minute walk in high 20°s to eat here.

It's not a restaurant, nor a fast-food. So the bistro name is quite fitting. Within these constraints, it's definitely a recommendation. Slightly off the beaten path, on a quiet street, local unpretentious vibe, generous portions with home cooked appeal, clean. We ate better than most pretentious places that charge you double. It's honest and I'd go again in a blink.

Great place to enjoy real Croatian food in a simple ambiance. We went there several times, every time is a pleasure! Must mention a great service - very nice and friendly lady who speaks besides Croatian and English also German, Italian and Spanish!

Very nice and hospitable people, the best grilled fish I have ever had. Should definitely try with the drop of genuine olive oil that stands on a table :)
PS other dishes are awesome as well!

Fresh grill, mostly local guests, brave spicing, seems to be a 20 something years family business. If looking for a non tourist place, then this is very much recommended

Very good food, cooked with love. We had a great time and even came twice during our vacation, because we had to eat the pasta with scampi and the pancaces again!

Great food, fresh and homemade ingredients (from Istrian origin) I ate Adriatic squid from the grill, my partner ate mixed meat from the grill, we both enjoyed a delicious meal. The chef is a nice lady who cooks according to local recipes - one word - great! Afterwards we ate pancakes with jam, I have never eaten such delicious pancakes even though I prepare them at home regularly ...
The bistro has a large fenced terrace, we had dinner around 7 pm, it was cold outside (as it can be in March) but on the terrace is a heater, and you get a blanket, we were comfortable and warm. The staff is very friendly, prices are low, given the quality of food, I would say they are lower than in restaurants because Galeb is Bistro (something between restaurants and fast food) ... I recommend Bistro Galeb, we will definitely visit it again ...😁👍✌❤

2.5 kg Lobster with pasta! Mmmm…perfect!

Fantastic food!! The owner was so lovely and helpful and the food was amazing and freshly cooked and was so good we went back for our last night. They serve mainly grilled meats and fish. The owners husband is catches the fish daily and she brought it out for us to view. Main dishes such as pork skewers in flatbread and chicken salads were between 50-80 kuna so were cheaper than most. Our party of 6 bill came to 700 kuna for 6 mains, 5 sides with drinks varying from water, wine and beer.

Good food, great service, the staff is very kind and speak english, the old lady serving us was kind and explained the menu and recomended to us great dishes. Decent prices would definetly come back.
