Karlo Restaurant

When we arrived I told the waiter I'm vegan and he said he'd check with the kitchen what they can do 'it's a kitchen, they can make everything in there'. Turns out he was correct. We had a marvellous meal of truffle pasta, ravioli with pistachio and goats cheese (for my partner who is vegetarian), salad and grilled veg. The service was fantastic. Really friendly, relaxed and helpful.

The menu is only in Croatian and German but they talk you through it all so absolutely no problem there.

Great wines and grappa. Give this place a go, you won't regret it. Also, it says its open to 10pm but they have happily seated and served many tables since we've been here and it's now 10.30.

They have three vegetarian dishes on the menu and it's easily possible to make one vegan (burger, vegetables, fries).
Nice, cozy atmosphere. You can sit outside shaded by grapevine.

We have been here before and had a very good vegan meal that was specially prepared for us. Today we had a delicious salad with grilled vegetables. The service is also extremely good. And the cat entertainment was excellent again. Best restaurant around. Thanks very much

Amazing place with fresh local food. Great fish and seafood, good meats, gorgeous wine, super friendly staff. A bit pricey but servings are super huge! Schnapps at the end of dinner.. delicious :) Been there twice and when visiting Pula again we'll definetely come back!

Have visited many restaurants in area of Pula and must say restaurant Karlo was amazing choice. Highly recommend and specifically big thank you for a stuff. If you will visit restaurant Karlo you will be more then happy. Food was amazing!

Amazing! Food was fresh, tasteful and at a great price. Kids loved the cheese ravioli and the beef soup. The fish soup was not my favorite but the fish platter was ridiculously big and delicious. Paid 80€ for 3 soups, 2 beers, 1 Sprite, 1 water, 2 cheese ravioli and fish platter. Afterwards we couldn't breathe.

This is an underestimated restaurant, the gentleman so gracious and welcoming as soon as we entered. So cool for him to ask where we would like to enjoy our lunch, outside or inside where ever you like.

We chose inside to see. Wonderful setting. Awesome for the gentleman to offer us anything off the menu or straight into what they offered to be the best. We took his challenge of the best he offered.

For my wife sea food fish platter and for me to be picky at all times I had a spaghetti with marinated meat.

I will admit that this is the first restaurant that my wife never returned her plate. Everything was brought out promptly freshly cooked Croatian various fish plate. Not to mention that my spaghetti was delicious and not what I was expecting, my plate was so delicious that I finished the plate wiped clean with their freshly baked bread which they gave us as an appetizer. An awesome local beer; Karlovacko execellant, I rarely drink more than one beer, but for lunch but it was so good.

Everything was gone skeleton’s of the fish, no remains of anything else, paired with perfect wine.

Beautiful cozy place, very nice kind personnel. Fish portions are huge! Do recommend!

This is a fantastic place for sea food! The whole menu depends on the catch of the day and the sides are handmade and of great quality.
If you are not into fish, the beef steak is also a good choice.
Deserts are limited but what you get is amazing.

Amazing food, highly recommended. The seafood, grilled vegetables and the burger are just incredible! The service is just lovely. Our waiter Erik was very friendly and helpful to fulfill all our wishes. We got a “Schnaps” on the house at the end. When you visit Pula, you have to come. The prices are absolutely reasonable and the quality is superb.

I am from Texas and my wife is from the former Yugoslavia. We stayed in Pula for 10 days very close to Karlo. We ended up having dinner at Karlo on 5 nights. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. We ate mussels, shrimp, pasta with shrimp, fried calamari, stuffed grilled calamari, fish, and tuna steaks. Everything was just so fresh and delicious. Not to mention the lava cake which you MUST have. And what made the experience extra special was the waiter named Petar who made each night there like visiting a good friend.

Great food and lovely service! Definitely recommend for people staying in Pula or outside! We’ve been twice and had the same
lovely waiter, Erik, treating us very well. Great pasta and seafood dishes, and very affordable as well! :)

Tasty food, friendly staff, ridiculously huge portions of seafood for a cheap price

Nice service, modern atmosphere, great fresh fish. I would prefer maybe a tiny bit of garlic on it - but without it was also fabulous.

This was my fourth time at Karlo and as always it was beyond my expectations. I had delicious tuna steak and some chips on the side - yum yum! I cannot express the hospitality of the staff - very professional and kind. They once again satisfied my needs for a great meal. Bravo Karlo and his team!! Will come again definitely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

after being ejected from local area military base we wandered up the street to the fine dining establishment karlo. This seemed like a good idea until we sat down and noticed the undulating table cloths. from this point on it became apparent the acid had not yet worn off and the meal became increasingly challenging. the ravioli with truffles which seemed appetizing at first became an hour long punishment. the elderly orange couple to our left became more and more upset at our presence and finally after consuming our liter of white wine we cancelled ourselves from the restaurant.

At the Karlo restaurant the food and staff are awesome! The waiters are super nice and make you feel very welcome! Cooks are awesome too, as they prepare the most delicious food! Tonight we ate grilled tuna steak and it was sooo juicy and tasty! We come here every year when we are on vacation at Stoja camp, and we were never disappointed! Bravo Karlo restaurant!

Our favourite Baska Voda restaurant by far! Wonderful family run restaurant, really great food and brilliant warm and friendly service. Ate here twice on our trip so far. Was our second time tonight and we were welcomed back like locals. We even received a complimentary desert. Most of all we enjoyed the great selection on the menu and wonderful fresh dishes. We’ll probably be back for another night before we leave!

Great place to have seafood! They were kind, place cozy and the meal was delicious :)
