Restaurant La Parenzana

Great place for a calm lunch/dinner. Food was really good and our waiter Marko was amazing with us and our daughter. Menu is very rich with lots of local ingredients, similar the wine card. We had a cheese platter and octopus salad for starter, main was ribs and grilled octopus and the desert was tiramisu with a local pear. Everything was tasty. Cost was normal. I would definitely recommend the place and we will return for sure!

A wonderful romantic spot we stumbled upon by pure chance. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, with an idyllic atmosphere hidden away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The food is excellent and well-prepared, and there's an extensive wine list. I recommend visiting - it's best to book in advance. We'll definitely return and enjoy in food and ambient.

A beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent dishes. The staff are very pleasant and serve food in a timely manner even though they were understaffed.

Was so excited about the food I forgot to take photos. Highly recommend making the stop here if you’re anywhere nearby! Fantastic food by a husband and wife team. She is the Chef and he takes care of the front of the house. Everything is made in-house and the atmosphere is very cozy.

Masterpiece of local cousine in a family restaurant! I ate veal cheeks with gnocchi romani and my darling had gnocchi with deer for main course. We had both pumpkin soup for starters, Teran wine, big salad and tiramisu for desert. Meat was so tender and well prepared, all the details, from serving, place, bartenders, paintings on the wall, light, everything was so romantic and to the point of excelence. Very friendly owner Marko - his lovely wife is the chef and we will definety be visiting when in Istria next time, regardless how far is our place of stay from restaurant. Excellence by every meaning of the word. Friendly cordial welcome by the owner, Cozy atmosphere inside, with an open fire.
Service was perfect, food was delicious. I was recommended three different olive oils, one with each course. Perfect espresso and digestif. I felt perfectly happy st all times.

I‘m coming here since four years every year. What can I say? Besides the lovely owners of the restaurant there are plenty reasons to visit this place. It’s got one of the most beautiful terraces where you find yourself surrounded by rosemary, sage and lavender bushes under olive trees. The food? Outstanding! Fresh fish grilled on coal, truffle pasta and delicious lamb chops. These are just a few points that made it my favourite restaurant in Istria.

My favourite place to eat in Istria, food is amazing, great wine, wonderful staff, peaceful place, but also vibrant and so natural... I love it. For me this is so much more than food, it is experience.

We had a wonderful dining experience in May 2021. Marko was a very welcoming host, he and his staff made us and our three year old feel right at home. All the food was good, the grilled fish was the stuff of dreams. Highly recommend when visiting Istria!

Wow, just wow. Amazing food and fantastic service. Really friendly staff. Highly recommended. We ate the spareribs that just melted, perfect. Also the lamb was delicious. The cheesecake and crème brûlée was also amazing.

La Parenzana is such a lovely place on all points of view: ambience, food and service! You’ll have the chance to eat in a cozy garden surrounded by aromatic herbs and olive trees and be served by very skilled and fun waiters. Our waiter Victor made our dinner great with tasteful jokes, suggestions and preparing our fish next to the table. The food is well prepared, simple and refined, ingredients are fresh. We especially enjoyed the 1 kilo of premium fish cooked in salt crust. We want to wish Marco and the rest of the crew a lot of luck with their business. 100% recommend this place.

This restaurant is a 10/10. We are cycling from Trieste to Pula, and this was the most unexpected and wonderful surprise along the way. We went for dinner and had the gnocchi, soup, asparagus, and sea bass. Marco and Ana have created a family environment where all feel welcomed, loved, and truly cared for.

We came for lunch without reservations (but off prime time) around 16:30 so be mindful to make reservations if you want to be sure to get a table for lunch or dinner prime time.

They serve great wine Prelac from the local winery from Momjan, amazing amuse bouche with onions marinated in red wine. Then we had squid with fennel and pea soup with mint - both amazing!

Both main dishes - black cuttlefish orsotto and broudeto - were amazing!

This was our best experience from one week trip to Istria. Came back also on second evenin. Food is delicious and on level of best restaurants all over the world. They play with tastes but at the same time work with local ingredients and put them on display. I fully recommend lamb with demi glaze sauce and aubergine with ricotta cheese and tomato sauce. Octopus salad was light, tasteful, joy. Steak and beef tongue had my bf, he was super happy about both. One and only small critique comes to dessert part. Was still very nice but after such a great starters and main dishes I would expect sth on the same level. And if food is 100 hundred percent (what definitely is!) then to sweets (lavender creme brulee and tiramisu) i give around 85... Though recommend to try cheesecake with fresh figs and rosemary or classic one. Both were delicious.... At the end i just need to say. When in Istria go to La Parenzana. This experience, food, service, ambiente... Everything worths it.

Such a lovely place with great ambiance. Excellent top class food. Fresh daily fish and perfect steak prepared on wild fire and grill matched with a local wine. This was the greatest nights out in a long time.

Geateful to find this place the first day my wife & I arrived. We tried the Seabass & Octopus, we rate it 10 out of 10, we were lucky to try the mushrooms too, because it’s the season.

We then came back the day after again, and this time we asked for a chef’s table, Chef Marko & Ana hit it off the park. We especially loved the pumpkin gnocchi with truffle mushrooms and prosciutto.

Off a beaten road. We were on the way from Bale to Lake bled but traffic was bad and hence we decided to head for lunch nearby, found this resto on Google map and we decided to have lunch here. Food and service was excellent. One small point to note is that you would expect to experience some flies and wasps while having lunch outdoor.

Menu is full of local fresh ingredients.
Wine list is impressive, containing plenty of Istrian leading winery.

Fantastic place for dinner. Delicious local cusine and high professional and very polite servers. Don't miss dishes with truffles :)
