Trattoria Al Castello

We were on a short road trip to the Croatian coast and we decided to make a stop in Muggia. Our wish was to eat something good and drink a nice wine.
All that we found here.
We really enjoyed. Just great.
Allready when i called to make the reservation during driveing i could feel the kindness of the people from Al castello.
The Restaurant is situated over Muggia with a Private parking and a very nice garden surounded with trees and flowers.
Other guests were setting inside we asked for a place outside in the beautiful sun and it was no problem. We enjoyed the beautiful view, you have it even from outside. It is even nice when you have children, the have some space to play.
Nice portions, fresh seafood, nice pasta and great Francciacorta which my baby❤ decided for us 💞.
Even the dolci were very nice and sweet.
We will came back.

You will not be disappointed! Tucked away in a neighborhood but the best meal we’ve had this trip.

Awesome experience! Super caring and skilled staff, very cosy place and food is just amazing. Worth the money, the experience was close to fine dining so it’s a nonsense to expect cheap meals (like some of the reviewers here…) If you want to taste true Italy in style, this is your place!

We visited Trattoria Al Castello for a spontaneous birtday lunch with friends and despite the fact that we did not book a table ahead the staff was super friendly and set a table for 10. Perfect location, a bit away from the downtown hustle, located in a lush garden up on a hill. The view on the surroundings is lovely, the food is excellent, especially fresh fish and seafood. Kids could roam free in the garden while we enjoyes our delicious lunch. Would definitely be back when around!💓

Great food. The staff was extremely friendly. They spoke English and perfect German. They took care of every individual need. 100% would recommend. Worth the drive from Triest.

Food was great, service was great but the cozy and relaxed atmosphere gave this restaurant 5 stars. Great value for the price and kid friendly. They insist non italians eat in the italian way. Also, any restaurant that immediately brings you a carafe of cold water on a hot day is clearly thinking about it's customers.

Amazing place with really high quality fish!! The local was full but we kindly got a place for 4 people! The owner is really friendly and the fish really fresh. To back many times again!!
