We had an amazing meal here! We ordered the pasticada and the gnocchi with gorgonzola and both were to die for. Our host, Pave, was friendly, kind and was spot on with his recommendations, from the food to the wine. In fact it was so good, we had to tell everyone who passed by to come in and enjoy this fresh, local food. Should we be so lucky as to find ourselves back on Vis, this will be our first stop.

Had my first lamb and potatoes in life right here and I am so glad it was at Pave. Meat was sweet, soft and melting in my mouth. Potatoes-same story. Very delicious first experience. Salad was full of flavours, a good sign that food here is really organic and prepared with love. White house wine was also a great choice. Fast and kind service, they let you chill after the meal and don't rush you to end a wonderful experience fast. A very authentic island food experience. Thank you❤

Kod Paveta was a last minute drop in dinner. We were seated immediately and the atmosphere inside had a very comfortable-home cooking meets nautical themed sort of vibe. As it was our first time, we decided to order entirely based on our host’s recommendation. We had the tomato soup to start, and it was creamy and delicious! Then we had the beef stew with gnocchi with a simple local red wine. Everything was very good, and we have booked ourselves a table for another night. I highly recommend this place for its excellent food and exceptional customer service.

By far the most authentic place with absolutely amazing service and insanely delicious food. Couldn't recommend black risotto or shrimps more!!! The bread is homemade, insanely soft and tasty. If you're lucky enough, you might even catch the owner playing jazz or classical music on the guitar which made my experience here unforgettable. I literally couldn't think of words to say how much I enjoyed my evening here. ABSOLUTE RECOMMENDATION

When we were passing by looking for vegan options (which is just about impossible in Vis), the waiter offered to make us an assembly of vegan starters and sides. None of the dishes was anything special, but everything was fresh and even home grown, and we were so happy to find a warm meal in Vis after all! So five stars for that plus the lovely location, watching tourists strolling by.

Some of the best food across the my total trip in Croatia. Got to try a world famous gin and beautiful food made by the mother herself. Can’t wait to visit VIS & Kod Paveta

Amazing food and service! Highly recommend the house special Pasticada and gnocchi. House red wine was 10/10 and complemented the main perfectly. Great traditional Croatian cuisine.

We were really glad to find this amazing tiny restaurant among a the other regular restaurants on Vis. We tried the recommended Paštčada with gnocchi and it was really amazing! The waiter was really nice and enthusiastic! Thanks for a great dinner!

What an amazing meal! Home grown ingredients, the best grilled calamari I've ever tasted, very friendly waiter with a good sense of humor and it is clear that all those who work there take great pride in it.
And they should too.
Try the beef in prosecco, it is really delicious.

Excellent fresh food with great service and reasonable prices. This is a small family restaurant, offering a limited menu but you won't miss out from the selection. We had the fish platter and bruschetta to start both excellent and delicious. Fried shrimp and the beef pašticada for mains. The portions were generous and tasted absolutely fantastic. I also had the house white which was good. The restaurant is small with some tables on the sidewalk so a reservation is recommend. Open for dinner from 17:00 - 24:00. Would return and recommend this restaurant if you're ever in Vis.

We tried to get a table on the Saturday night but the place was really busy (and it's very small inside). We decided to go back the next night as the menu looked great and it was very reasonabe. The menu when we were tgere had homemade gnocchi with blue cheese, walnuts and sage, beef with fig and rosemary gravy and lamb (usually you need to order for 4 for the katter dish but they had some extra so were selling it on its own the night we went). I had the beef, my partner had the lamb. From start to finish I loved it all. Really relaxed rustic vibe. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was to die for. Both my oartner and I literally cleared our plates. Portions are generous. The beef and lamb were both falling apart they were so tender. The gravy on my beef was incredible. Simple, well prepared and delicious food. Probably one of my most memorable meals on the island. We also had a sneaky guest (the resident cat) who curled up on the bench beside my partner. Very reasonable and enjoyable meal. Very highly recommend!

Brilliant food and excellent service from the local waiter. Could do with some presentation improvement but it's family style and tastes amazing.

Like many places in the town you sit in a bustling walkway which is great. Excellent menu offering risotto, calamari etc. glad we visited

Beautiful food, and a lovely setting to have a meal. We would have gone back twice in a row if we weren't keen to explore the restaurant scene in Vis a bit more!
