Navodno za izgubljene dokumente.

As I’m unable to respond to Avis’ response to my review I thought I would copy the conversation so far in order to highlight this fabricated story.
The stain you keep referring to was on the seat at the point we took the keys on the day of arrival, there was also absolutely no dirt anywhere to be seen.
You never came out of your booth to hand the car over and was not available on the day we handed the car back.
There was myself, partner and 11 year old daughter, we never ate, drank or wore any wet clothing in the car throughout the whole duration of our holiday.
Also for your knowledge of the Opel brand, they are the same company, the UK market is called Vauxhall, the EU is Opel, even pathetic you even mention that point.
You tell us you have photos of the stain we already know it had yet you don’t have photos of when it was returned from the previous customer! I know for a fact you will keep this stain on the car and keep this ongoing for future customers.
YOUR’RE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY THAT LIES AND RIPS OFF YOUR CUSTOMERS.

AVOID AVOID - We rented a Vauxhall Corsa for a week. We noticed at that point of taking the car a wet stain on the passenger seat. When returning the vehicle we were told to leave the keys at the counter due to staff delivering vehicles. We were then charged two days later £51.48 without any notification or discussion. When calling them to ask why they said it was for the stain! When disputing they said take it up with customer services and hung up. ABSOLUTE COWBOYS - NEVER USE

Your rental was with Opel Corsa vehicle (Vauxhall Corsa does not exist) which you have returned with back seat large stains.The charge was made for a chemical cleaning which needed to be done. Unfortunately it is not possible to upload pictures to google review reply to show everybody the seat upon your return.The car is also out of order until the cleaning dries. Avia team

Rented for 9 days in Dubrovnik- after a long waiting time we got a damaged car with cracks and scratches - The staff was too lazy to mark everything in the protocol because of rain - He told us it would be no problem later on return in Pula - Cause its obviously that the marks were caused by a previous crash.
we documented with pictures,too - but it doesn’t matter. later on return there was no staff for inspection- we waited 1,5 hours but had to catch our flight- The next they charged us already 400 € for damages which were on the car before - but are allegedly new for Avis.
On a part of the car which anyway had to be replaced cause it was full of scratches .
I rent around 8 cars at Avis a year - but this and the customer service was the worst experience happened to us-

On pick up, the service guy pushed a €49 a day insurance on us due to the fact that we should visit other countries than Croatia. When we did not accept he got grumpy and just wished us "good luck" and charged us 15000 kunas in deposit.
The car was dirty inside and outside and only a big scratch on right front fender was visible and noted as damage. The service guy was not interested in cheching the car any further...

On delivery the next service guy checket the outside of the car very thoroughly an discovered two small nicks at the edge of the drivers door, which obviously was not marked as damage at pick up. But I had a video from the pick up an could prove it was already there. I guess if I payed for all the insurances they wanted to oush me, they would not bother to check the car at all.

Is this the way AVIS want to run their business? Cheating people on microscopic damages that never get fixed and pushing insurances that is more expensive than the rental agreement itself?

Next time I would choose SIXT at Pula airport, as they seemed much more professional than AVIS

I dropped off the car at Pula Airport.
I waited half an hour and nobody came. I rang and nobody picked up, so I had to ask one of the other companies on where to drop off the car and what to do.
I dropped off the documents in the booth, dropped off the car in the right spot without a single scratch and a week later when I check my back account, I find that they deducted money from my bank account.
No reason given, no further contact - just take my money.
Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't book them again

ABSOLUTELY THIEVES - DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Disgusting experience. Given a damaged filthy car and told we were lucky to have a new one - 30,000km on the clock. Came home to find they had added insurance, damage waivers, additional drivers and 'logistics charges' shooting our rental up from £55 to £225 and refusing to release our £1050 deposit. Currently being investigated by Avis Customer Services.

Do NOT rent from Avis at the Pula airport. I booked a car online and fully prepaid at 9am. Went to the airport at noon to pick-up car. Only four people were in front of me and it took over an hour to be seen. When they got to me they said they had no cars available and that I should call customer service. I had avoided local car companies given bad reviews but could not have been treated worse by Avis.

We rent a car from Budget at Pula airport. We want to complain the poor service(wait 3 hours and can't go out of parking lot) and appeal to cleaning fee charge at Pula airport front desk.
We arrived at Pula airport at 21:00 on 29 May. There was only one customer in front of us to pick up the car. We waited for 1 hour for that one customer. Ms. Natasa Seles was so slow, she called someone else on the phone all the time to ask for instruction. She also took more than half hour to get our car register in the system. However, we could not exit the airport because the gate/parking bar was close. Ms. Natasa Seles asked us to follow up a big car to rush out of the parking. It was very dangerous, and our car was nearly hit by the parking bar. We learned from other people from the parking lot that they got a ticket from the rental company to get exit. But Ms. Natasa Seles did not know how to do this. We left airport at 23:50. We were so tried after struggling for 3 hours just to pick up your car and go out of the parking lot!
When we returned the car on 5 June, we tried to be 2 hours ahead of our flight. There are some muds on the floor and back truck of the car (see photos) due to the rain and the wheel of our baby pushchair. Ms. Natasa Seles asked me to clean the car. I asked how much it will cost if Avis Budget will clean the car for us. Ms. Natasa Seles did not know, but she promised me to come back to the front desk to have a check. Unfortunately, she took again a very long time to find it out it cost 500 Kuna (70 Euro) if we don’t clean the car by ourselves. I was really shocked by such high cost. At the same moment, my wife called me for check in as soon as possible. I told Ms. Natasa Seles that I can not accept this cleaning cost and then I ran quickly to check in (100 meter away from your front desk). I quickly returned with my wife and we have decided to clean the car by ourselves because we still have 1 and half hour left. But Ms. Natasa Seles told me that she has closed the deal and she cannot change it back in the system. We had to pay 70 Euro cleaning cost.

Ms. Natasa Seles apologized to her poor service and admitted that she is very new to her job and she did not know how to do her job. She called her colleague all the time to ask for help and it took her a lot of time to find information. We disagree with the cleaning charge Ms. Natasa Seles put in your system because she closed the deal without our agreement. We had sufficient time to clean the car ourselves. It is so unfair that we suffered her poor service both at pickup and return and we had to pay 70 Euro due to her mistake.

Please return us our full deposit and train your front desk properly before put her/him to the job!!!!!!

Rude, abrupt staff who just couldn't be bothered.

READ THE RENTAL AGREEMENT THOROUGHLY, DO NOT BE RUSHED INTO SIGNING - TELL THEM TO REMOVE THE OPTIONAL INSURANCE IF YOU DO NOT WANT IT, AND GET THEM TO SHOW YOU IT HAS BEEN REMOVED!!

Came home to an unauthorised transaction on my credit card. Rental agreement states this was for optional premium insurance, HOWEVER: we were told with no uncertainty at the airport on picking up the car that the credit card deposit would be fully refunded should there be no issues with the car, which on return, there were not.

This transaction was NOT authorised. As per business law, a signed contract is unenforceable should there be misrepresentation.

There was certainly misrepresentation in this case because we were categorically told that 3,500 KN would be FULLY RETURNED to my credit card should there be no issues with the car.

“Misrepresentation is a false statement of fact or law which induced the respresentee to enter into a contract”.

We would NOT have signed if we had been told the truth.

Avis Budget will not refund this transaction despite sending them the above. I am now pursuing through small claims. AVOID!

Should have read the reviews here before renting.
Charged some dodgy amount almost as high as the rental itself after giving back the car, without any email or other form of notification. After struggling two hours to get in touch, this is justified as "Out of office" charge. I picked the car up at 22:40 and the office is open from 7:00 to 23:00... Also, I had already mentioned that I would pick up the car at 23:00 at the time of my online reservation and payment, so why not include the charge at that moment?
Even worse, the charge is included in the rental agreement handed over by the staff under the line "Additional product", without any mention from the staff at the given time.
I truly can't believe how this company can still be alive while being openly sneaky and dishonest with its customers.

I thought everything was great until after we turned in the car. That is when I felt like I was taken advantage of, that they took my money. I was told I was going to receive my deposit because everything was good with the car after the return inspection, received all the paperwork saying so. They did tell me it can take up to 10 days, but it has been more than 10 days. We called the office to ask them about the deposit getting credited back to my card, but was told they could not handle that, I would have to send an email to a different department. Once we sent that email, we received default message saying it was going to take up to 15 days. My husband sent an email, but he has yet to hear anything back. At this point it looks like I will NEVER get that money. I would really appreciate a response.

All the reviews are true. This is not a normal Avis desk in fact the cars and keyrings said Access (these had a different desk at the airport). It took forever to get to the front of the queue, everyone had an issue so after 2 hours we started our trip. When we got back we say why everyone had trouble, 1 and a half hours later we finally got away from them with a large excess to pay.
Avis, stop using these guys or I will strongly recommend BA to find another partner.

I rented a car here on the 18th September 2018 and had exactly the same experience as Bjoern Weide. I thought I was very car rental savvy as I hire cars worldwide for about 70 days a year. I stressed at the counter that I did not want excess insurance as I already had my own. How he 'got' me was that I was asked to sign 'for the condition of the car' which I did. Unfortunately I did not read the Rental Agreement before I left the counter. As a result I was charged over 1000 kunas (£130) on top of the £50 I had pre-paid for the rental.
AVOID THIS BRANCH OF AVIS BUDGET AT ALL COSTS.

Rented a car for summer vacation there - nice car and the pick up experience was OK - but at home we realized that they sneaked in the most expensive insurance at the counter without ever asking us. Iin the end we had to pay 50% on top for an unwanted insurance - so be very careful here and triple check your receipt!

I had booked a car at Budget company and paid for it. When I arrived at the airport I was informed that the company did not have a car.
The service worker said that this is my problem and I have to look for another car in another rental company myself. I had to look for a car for rent myself. Will I get my money back? Never again!!!

deserves negative ratings, worst experience.
We returned the car in the same condition as it was received and even after having insurance they charged 100euros for some scratch expenses.
