We visit every year during the holiday season. It has become a family tradition because the amazing and festive atmosphere brings us back each time. The ice skating rink is quite large and the food and drinks are very affordable. I recommend visiting during Advent especially, even though it’s great year-round.

Statue of King Tomislava in a square and park. A lot of visitors, locals and foreigners alike. Some just spend the afternoon under the shade of the trees in the park watching the world go by or reading a book.

We should all be so lucky.

Advent time here is always on iceskates ;) a big skating ring is set here and a lot of food and drinks stands are placed around.
The location is right by the train station, last year we came by train and first stop was this Trg ;)

It is a nice square in Croatia. There are many activities and food options around, such as an ice rink.

What a beautiful garden! Good to chillax in a hot afternoon or perhaps after a stressful day of working this place will give you the tranquility mood.

One of the most beautiful squares in Zagreb! In late spring and summer it is most wonderful to stay here because then you can see the trees and flowers at their peak colorful. Children love to play, couples kiss on the bench and individuals sunbathe on the lawn. The fountain cools nicely when it is very hot, and the tram station and train station are right next door.

Vibrant atmosphere. You will come across a beautiful, well-maintained park. Refreshing spot to be at any time of the day and year. Ample seating benches all around.

Amazing place to enjoy solitude. A nice park to sit. Start your city walk from here and take a peak into the history of Zagreb. There are a lot of parks and places to visit. Follow towards the park city centre and then walk to the upper town, finally come down and visit the tunnel for a perfect zagreb city walk.

PLEASE visit Zagreb during Christmastime ... It's one of the most beautiful places ever!
Together with the hot spiced adult beverages and the tasty snack shacks, this Square is decked out for Christmas like no other place I've ever seen ... It really put me straight into the Christmas spirit!

Nice place to take your special 'someone' on a romantic stroll in the park and take in the view all around you.
I suggest bug spray if you are prone to mosquito bites and decide to visit in the evening. Either way, I strongly recommend you WALK (i.e. long walk) and start from Trg Ban Jelacic because you will pass another significant park (Zrinjevac) and you will not be disappointed by the trek!

Really beautiful experience. Try not to miss it if in the area. I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend that you reserve some time for this. Why not? You are already here. Let us know how did you like it.

One of the most beautiful and recognizable squares in Zagreb
Located between Strossmayer square and the main train station.
There is a beautiful art pavilion surrounded by meadow full of flowers and fountain.
In summer, favorite place of people who are chilling on the grass and catching the sun. On winter, popular meadow becomes big ice skating park on the open.

Probably the best and most lively place in town at night.
It looked breathtakingly beautiful with decors at Silvester.
We enjoyed our time welcoming 2023 with local food delicacies and ice skating.
Totally recommended !!

Very neat and clean park. Suitable for walking, bench rest, picnic on green. Right next to the main train station and a very good underground shopping center. Near the tram stops there are palaces where you can buy domestic fruits, vegetables and berries.

It has a fountain and flower beds.

This is one of the nicest squares and busiest in Zagreb.

King Tomislav's Square is right in front of the Zagreb Main Railway Station.

This is also a stop of many of the cities trams. Here you can purchase tickets for the tram and also a quick drink or snacks from the small tobacco shops.

Tomislav was the king who ruled Croatia in the Middle Ages.

The equestrian statue on the square opposite the railway station is King Tomislav.

The yellow building behind the King's statue is Croatian national art.

Very nice park and great place to go for a walk. Too bad a lot of the museums are still closed because of the earthquake.

One of the primary plazas in the city sits right across from the central station. I must confess that I initially assumed its condition would be poorer due to its location, but it's actually impeccably maintained. The square, almost resembling a garden, boasts numerous benches, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely rest after a stroll. Additionally, there's a charming statue and an appealing museum, particularly its exterior.

One of my favourite places in Zagreb. Close to Zrinjevac, the green oasis in the city centre. Dominated by the statue of King Tomislav, the one who is said to form the first Croatian state in the 10th century.
