BRIST Extra Virgin Olive Oil Shop

We just got back from an amazing tour trough the olivetrees! So much we didn't know and Paul is an amazing storyteller so very nice to learn about olives/trees/oils.
We had a very plesant evening and enjoyed it very much! (Also the food was very good!) Thank you Lena!

We had a great evening thanks to Lena and Paul from Brist. Their olive oil tour was recommended on a travel blog. We were immediately sold by the description of the tour and therefore wanted to secure a spot. Unfortunately, the tour was already fully booked. We contacted Paul on this. He made no problem of this and made sure we could still join. Moreover, he invited us to the shop, where we got a free olive oil tasting. The olive oil is produced in a sustainable way and is delicious. The tour itself was very interesting. Lena gave the explanations in an engaging, pleasant way. In the evening, we were able to enjoy delicious tapas and sparkling wine over a magical sunset. If you are in the area, we definitely recommend visiting the shop or signing up for the tour.

There are very patient and genuine, they have a lot of personal attention for their customers. The tour was also very nice, we had a good experience and nice dinner. I have a lot of respect for their quality standards and business approach. All the bottles have a nice design and very proffesional website!

Vacation in Croatia without BRIST? Never - we bought 2 times at the store - best Oil for us ever. Now we ordered online to Germany - fast and perfect. Oil for one year! Thanks. 2025 vacation again in Croatia - we will see you in wunderful Istria.

What an amazing experience! 😉 The tour was about 2 hours with an very informative walk through the olive plantage and nice food and drinks to finish the day of.

Honestly couldn’t wait to review BRIST, only because we wanted to wait till the end of our travels to say for a fact that this stop was one of the HIGH POINTS of our entire trip in Croatia.

Arrived at the store during its opening hours to find it empty with a note out front and a number to call. Within minutes, Paul was with us giving us an entire crash course on the history and technicalities of olive oil production. What we thought would be a half an hour to an hour’s stop max turned into a two hour+ session on olive oil tasting and appreciation. Parking was easy enough at a paid car park not too far from the store, although we had to add another hour to our parking meter so we could grab lunch from a nearby restaurant Paul recommended.

Also, at no point during the entire time we were there did we feel like we were being sold to. Easily felt like we could’ve walked out on Paul after his lesson/tasting without buying anything (😂), but if you’re at the store of one of the most highly decorated and awarded olive oils in the world, it would be kind of a waste not to take something away with you.

Can’t recommend stopping by the BRIST store enough and can’t wait to take folks back if we’re ever around the area again (although maybe giving them a bit of a heads up ahead of time might be better 😁).

Wonderful people, we had the pleasure of getting a life changing lesson on olive oils. We learned so much and had plenty of fun. The olive like are like nothing else we tried in our lives. Thank you!

My wife and I visited Brist Olive in our summer holiday. First of all communication upfront was flawless, because of the weather we had to change dates and Paul made this happen easily. The experience on the visit was great, we got picked up and led to the grove, where the group got plit into two so we got a more personal tour. Lena gave us the tour and led us through the grove and told about the history of the grove, the family and the vision they have about their way of producing the oil. At the end of the tour we ended up at a beautiful set up table in the grove between the olive trees where we got a tasting and got to talk with the others guests and with Paul and Lena. All in all we got a great experience, and Paul and Lena are great hosts. Would definitely go again if we're in the neighborhood

We visited the shop not knowing what to expect but got rewarded with the best olive oil we had ever tasted. Paul the owner lets you taste everyone of his award winning oils and you can feel that he loves what he/his family is doing. If you are in south Istria do yourself a favor and take some olive oil and wine home!

We visited the shop last week for a free olive oil tasting. Even tho we did not announce ourselves beforehand the owner warmly welcomed us, and took nearly 2 hours (even passed official store opening hours) to explain everything in detail professionally, friendly, and humorously. You can feel the passion for educating about the olive oil production in this family business and we are definitely returning also for the farm tour. Would recommend!!

Visiting the store and doing a tour of the farm is a must do when in the Pula area. Honestly, if you don't do it, you're missing out on a life changing experience. So, book it now, or be left with a dark hole in your life going forward.

First, Paul and Lena are amazingly, fantastic, smartly knowledgeable, and charismatically genuine. They want everyone who visits them to leave with a love of Olive Oil and knowledge of how the best is made.

Secondly, the olive oil is wonderful, and it is no surprise they are winning awards.

Finally, I really truly believe this is a must do and should be on the top of everyone's list when visiting Istria.

We stopped at the store for a tasting and also did the evening tour, both were great.
The tasting was informative and a great way to experience the different oils on its own. All were superb, brilliant job explaining the differences in flavor.
The evening tour was fun and educational. Paul was a great Guide and answered all questions about olive oil and more. The food after the tour was tasty, fresh and more than we expected, a dinner portion.
Brist was a highlight of our Croatia trip and we are glad we bought some
oil for home.

On a side note, it’s a kid friendly activity ! The tour was an easy walk and they even had a high chair for our little one !

Experienced the walking tour (would have taken the evening tour had it not been for the weather). An absolutely wonderful experience exploring the grove, learning about the history of the grove and the intricacies of olive farming from Paul. This was followed by a masterclass in olive oil tasting from Lena.

We stood on the shoulders of olive oil giants but still cannot see as far as Paul and Lena can see. We will surely be back for the evening tour!

What a great family owned company! We took a tour of their farm Thursday night, and it was great. Paul explained everything you need to know what is happening on the olive grove. He didn’t mind answering questions at all. After the tour we enjoyed great Istrien food and sparkling wine with all the different olive oil types they produce. We just had to come back the next day to buy a complete variety. Thank you so much to Lina, Paul and the rest of the family for a perfect evening. (I hope you can use the drone-videos ;-) )

This shop and farm is run excellently! My partner and I did the tour and you won't regret doing one yourself! Paul is an extremely knowledgeable guide who will tell you all about the process of making extra virgin olive oil, different types of olive varieties, how to do it in a sustainable way that truly cares for the trees and earth, how to produce award-winning oils, and about the corporate structure making most oils. We had an excellent time, learned a lot, and bought some great oils. Thanks Paul and your awesome family!
