Honest simple cooking , like eating at home. Comfort food, great choice both seafood and continent. Friendly prices. Lunch and afternoon meal only, they close at 20 hrs. Come early as locals rush in both for lunch and take away. Very good strudel for dessert. Friendly and kind waitresses. Ostaria is only 5 minutes driving from Opatija where restaurants are expensive and mediocre. Atmosphere is original and hectic. One of the best kept local secrets. Free parking.

Still one of the best restaurants in Matulji. Highly recommended to anyone in the area. The daily offer always has excellent local delicacies at very reasonable prices. When I'm in Rijeka, I always eat at Bufdet Štacion (train station)

We were looking for a nice restaurant to eat some Croatian food and have a nice beer and schnaps. The waiter was super nice and explained us what food they have to offer (they don't have a menu, they change the meals every day). The food came really fast and was delicious and the waiter recommended us some Drinks. The Prices are very low for good food.

Great place. Really nice dishes for nice price. Lovely staff. Dont miss strudel . But, be fast ih they ask. 😂 You can feel domestic atmosphere. And, you can see near railway station (Austro Hungary time is stop there). Se u there 👍 Again

My favorite Friday lunch place. Bakalar gulaš, in my opinion, the best on this region. Hard to find place, around 12:30, but wait is worth every minute.

The best buffet you can find in the city of Rijeka (and maybe in Croatia!). The food is SO GOOD, for an affordable price.

When lunch Hours passes, if you want to have beautiful, intimate outdoor conversation, Drink -warm or cold and meal on porch covered with living vine -this is it. No costant loud Sounds. The place is known for local card games evnings -briškula, trešeta. When you are feeling cold you can move very nice indors. Authentic building, furniture. Located very close to the Center of Matulji, but very quiet because of detached road. Beutiful historic realway station in fuction. Prices-excelent

Locals only, you have to know the dishes and language or it might come across as unfriendly. Typical local eatery witl regional honest dishes, low prices simple food and friendly staff. Next to the Matulji train station.

Grat daily offers and fair prices. Meals are very tasty and the service is fast even when all the tables are full. Excellent value for money.

We ate delicious home made food. We were with a dog on terrace, so I think it's pet friendly. Prices are really affordable
