Restaurant Freyja

Before our food arrived, we received the crispy and delicious arancini on the house. Then we had the savur which is a traditional bite of marinated anchovies with sultanas served on a toasted bread soaked in olive oil.

Our favorite were the lobster cappellatti in lobster bisque.

The scallop truffle risotto was rich and creamy, yet I would have loved a couple more of scallops in it (there was one).

The burrata with pesto was super soft and creamy.

Presentation wise the highlight were the scallop tacos. Super fine and small, yet they were more on a bitter side for me.

For the end we received a house made praline which was absolutely divine. A perfect end to a perfect meal.

Not just the food and the environment but absolutely the best service i ever experienced. I have to say praise to Tomislav who is an expert in his job. He speaks 5 languages and definitely made our night unforgettable!
I had all inclusive deal in my hotel but we didn't miss one dinner in Freyja Restaurant.

Freyja offers gourmet meals with really good value for the money! Excellent service from the friendly waiters who have high knowledge and good recommendations of both the food and wines. Will definately recommend this place - and to buy a bottle of the olive oil produced by the owner of the restaurant!

Loved this restaurant and by far the best option you in the zone.
Great food and ambience, where you can relax and look at the sea. They have a really well thought wine cellar based on local products.
Went 2 days in a row and both times were great.

A wonderful restaurant with great staff, we were taken care of by Marijan, the food was great, the wine with the food was even better. The staff takes interest in you and the whole dinner was beyond our expectations! Freyja is really a place to visIt if ever in Makarska/Tučepi

World needs more places like Freya 😍 The food tastes just as delicious as it looks and every dish is presented when served. It’s obvious that people behind Freya are really into what they do and pay attention to every detail. The waiter is such a positive and chill person, he made us laugh a lot and it was a pleasure to communicate with him! Overall it was such a pleasant surprise to get that gastronomic experience after just looking for a place to eat. We found Freya accidentally but it is the type of place worth traveling to!

The only thing to improve is how much syrup (or essence or sugar, idk) you’re putting into lavender cocktail. I gave it a little stir and then it turned too sweet. Maybe it’s just me but it’s not that I don’t like sweetness in drinks.

Freyja was amazing and this is definitely due, in part, to our waiter Franko. The food - to die for. Exceptional detail on taste and presentation - our Gnudi was served in a smoke-filled clear dome infusing just the right amount of taste to the truffles and cheese. Ambiance? Unparalleled. Live music, right on the beach, chill vibe. But Franko brought it all together with his pairing recommendations and deep knowledge of anything we requested - be it appetizer, main course, red wine, or dessert beverage. Kudos Freyja you’re rocking it - and thanks for bringing in the best service with Franko!

Restaurant Freyja is situated by the ocean inside Hotel Tamaris. It has a variety of high quality dishes to offer on the meny. Both the hamburger, risotto and pasta dishes are great choices. Aldo the steak sallad and Cesar sallad are very tasty. I highly rekommend this place and the service-minded staff.

Amazing service first of all! Our waiter Marijan (I think that was his name) was attentive, capable and friendly.

The food was great, as well as the atmosphere. There are meat and fish dishes, but you can also eat vegetarian – not sure about vegan dishes.

The first thing they bring you is some great bread and olive oil as the first thing. Then you get some small bites on rice paper. A vegetarian version is also available.

I had the Rissoto (but maybe ask if the cheese used is vegetarian as I'm not 100% sure) which looked and tasted great. My parents had the John Dorry fish with veggies, which they really liked! And it was enough for them to share one portion, some vegetables even went uneaten (unfortunately).

The prices are a bit higher than in other restaurants in Tucepi, but I don't think any other restaurant were awarded with the Gault&Milleu.

At the end we didn't feel like having dessert, but we each got a small chocolate. That was also so delicious.

We had a superb evening at Freyja. The highlight is wagyu and grilled lobster.
Tomislav helped us with the food and wine selection. He is very kind and helpful.

Extraordinary restaurant. Dishes were good. We also enjoyed local beers. The staff was very polite, professional and helpful.
I highly recommend fishes and seafood as well as the hanger steak.
There is a lunch menu for 25 Euros that includes starter, main dish, dessert and wine. It's just the perfect opportunity - the portion is very large and I could barely eat it.

Excellent restaurant! One of the best (perhaps the best we ate at on the Makarska Riviera). From appetizers to desserts, everything is outstanding. The service is excellent, the waiters give honest and excellent recommendations for both food and drink. We ate ravioli stuffed with lobster for an appetizer, the main course was a combination of fresh fish and aged meat, and for dessert we ate creme brulee and cake (which is the chef's specialty).
*Almost every dish can be ordered in a gluten-free version, wich is a huge plus :)

I was a bit skeptical at first if the Wagyu a5 was the real deal, I asked about it and the server promptly brought me a certificate.

Everything we had was cooked to perfection and the service was great.

Our experience as a whole I could only describe as magical.

Food is about the experience but more so always about the people who care about it. I pulled into Tamiris by chance after a missed destination on my drive and glad of my misfortune. My meal in Freyja was wholesome, local and paired beautifully with local and international wines. I ate alone as my wife had taken her flight home already and the crew in Freyja were very attentive and made me feel at home. I’m sorry my better half missed the meal - but I’ll be sure to share the experience. The dried fish in particular was fab and the wine from Korcula delicious. Kinda hoping to pass by again some time. Thanks for a lovely meal in quaint surroundings and keep doing what you love.

Very nice restaurant one of the best we have been to in Tucepi. Food was excellent and the wait staff was quick, efficient and welcoming. Defiantly would recommend if you stay in Tucepi.
