We have just had the most amazing wine tasting at winery Botaro in Croatia hosted by Matea. Served amazing Croatian wines and food, her Grandma made some of the cheese this morning. We will be back and would absolutely recommend for anyone who loves wine, cheese or a beautiful surrounding with a knowledgeable host.
An amazing family run business.

Fantastic. Took the 3pm tour to Botaro winery outside of Cavtat. Great wine, homemade cheeses and cured meats. So good, city of stone driver and Winery Botaro 5 stars. Of course homemade red wine vinegar and olive oil, also try the candied orange peels.

We went here for our first wine tasting experience and were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves! The host Matea was so friendly, had a great sense of humour but more importantly, extremely knowledgeable about the wine! All the wines were amazing and we also loved the home made meats and cheeses. Shoutout to grandma for some of the best cheese we've ever had!

10/10, highly recommend this experience if you are in the Cavtat or Dubrovnik area!

Went here on an amazing tour. The staff was one big family that produced everything on their farm, including the cured meats and fresh cheeses. The wine was all very good, and a real highlight on our trip to Croatia.

Excellent. What a tasting! We have tried many, many wine, beer, cider, cheese etc tours and tastings, and this one is absolutely fabulous. The family make all the wine (four types), cheeses (fresh, mature, smoked), meats (sausage, 5yr ham, 10 yr ham, smoked, unsmoked), fresh home salad, home made bread, coated almonds, sugared orange peel … everything comes from the farm. The quality of everything was amazing and the description and explanation just brilliant. The perfect location too with a lovely breeze and views of the valley and hills around the vineyard. This is a smaller business but with huge quality. Don’t miss it!

The wine tasting was the best part of our holiday. Not just fantastic wines and liquors plus amazing cured meats and cheeses plus also homemade orange peel . All so very delicious. And it was such a pleasure to meet this wonderful warmhearted family and find out about their family tree which goes back to 1400. The youngest son Antonio introduced us to those magnificent wines in such a beautiful way. Thank you!!!!!

My most wonderful winery experience to date. The wine, food and host were all phenomenal. I am in awe of this family for the quality of their products and the premium service they provide. Recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for having us!

I would take a synopsis of all the five star reviews for this place and summarise it with, fantastic!
Thank you Matea and Mum Gran and Dad for making us so welcome when we turned up two hours early and before you actually open!!
It was the highlight of our holiday.

My wife and I have been to over 60 countries and have had wine tastings all over the world, and we can honestly say the experience at Botaro was 2nd to none. Mrs Matea who catered to us exclusively during our entire tasting shared with us her love of wine and the region, and the rich and long history of her family winery through many many generations. The wine itself is also just as incredible as the history of the winery from which they are produced. But what surprised us the most is that nearly everything we tasted including a few of cheeses were made on premise! What an incredible experience!

We had a great time tasting wines, olive oils, and the special surprise shots! Spoiler alert! Beautiful location in the valley, and a fun experience.

Botaro is AMAZING. The family who owns it are SO welcoming and our amazing host, Matea (super sweet and knowledgeable woman - a member of the family who owns it!) walked us through every wine we tasted and even told us which food to pair with it! We also were treated to trying 4 of their specialty liquors, which was such a nice surprise! They gave us 4 FULL glasses of wine. So so so generous. The food spread was also incredible. Everything was so fresh and it was more than enough food for everyone! One of the best treats of the whole tour was that we were taken out to the vines and allowed to pick grapes and try them ourselves. That was SO unique and special - we have probably done 20+ wine tastings in Europe and the US and never got such a personal, in-depth experience at a vineyard. One of our favorite things we did in Croatia! Highly recommend!!!!

Quality 2 hours tasting wine, nibbling on local produce, and just relaxing.
It was a lovely place to visit, and to be fair, I could happily have stayed a lot longer just for the tranquillity.

This was our second time visiting this lovely family winery! We cannot say enough nice things about each of our visits. Matea and her family are very welcoming and truly make you feel at home. They explained each of their wines and detailed about the grapes and how the wines are made. After our tasting, they walked us through the vineyard and we got to try grapes straight from the source! Our tasting was accompanied by a lovely spread of local cheeses, meats, salads, and homemade bread. The winery is located about 30 minutes outside of Dubrovnik and is a perfect escape and day trip! We cannot wait to return and visit again soon.

Went on an organised travel agency trip to this small vineyard. It is quite excellent day out. The trip guide (Goran) picked us all up from our various hotels and took us out this lovely little bodegas sort of place. Food, all produced locally was excellent, as were the four wines sampled. Our MC, If I can call him that was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and had a very pleasant presenting style.

Liqueurs are not especially my kind of gig, but they were all really nice and well worth a shot.

I'd highly recommend this trip and the Botary Vineyard.

This place was truly wonderful. Picturesque. We loved the white wine, prosciutto, and homemade cheese that was similar to Swiss but way better. I also bought fig jam and honey to bring home back to the States. If you are around, I recommend you stop by you won't regret it!

Family fun winery. We highly recommend the three course lunch which was delicious, farm to fork with delicious vegetables, wine and meat. Marta is a passionate ambassador for her family and the winery. We enjoyed the detailed explanation of the various food pairings with our wine and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We would highly recommend a visit. Marta is promising a new wine in a few years and we’ll be back to try it!

We hosted a bridal shower here and it was great. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the food and wine was delicious. The setting was gorgeous and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a good day.

I would give this a place 6 stars if I could. Wine were all so good (all 3, we had the buttery Chardonnay, rose made from a mix of white and red, and the cab sav). Then we got the cheese and prosciutto platter and it was absolutely delicious. This is going to sound weird but the raw onions were probably the most delicious onions I ever had in my life.

Big thanks to the owners for such great service and food. Great way to end our time in Dubrovnik (and get away from the tourist crowds)
