Cast Away

If you are looking for a place that connects nature, guests and staff with positive energy, amazing sunsets and many beautiful beaches away from the noise, then this is the location for you. The bar is beautiful, the kitchen and the area for groceries is excellent and spacious and you don't have to be afraid that you will miss something, everything is perfectly clean, including the toilet and bathroom. At the beginning I was skeptical because I had never been in this type of accommodation and I only booked for 7 days, I recommend that you book for a longer period if you want to thoroughly cleanse yourself from everyday life.

Cast away is the perfect place to have a great and relaxing time. They provide with an amazing view and lovely beach! Its also great to meet some amazing people. The staff was very kind and made you felt @ home. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to meet everyone but also a thanks for making it happen. Would def recommand this!

An amazing place. You get more than what you pay for with a very comfortable and cozy personal sleeping area, well-equipped shared kitchen, and clean facilities all around. The location is unbeatable with a private beach, shared outdoor living spaces with epic ocean views and cute hammocks and cozy seating scattered throughout the property. You can tell the people working here really care and the guests were a fun assortment of young travelers, families, etc.

My heart and spirit were so happy here. This place is so special, most beautiful nature I have seen and best in Croatia that I know by far. So grounding, peaceful and wholesome :) I can’t wait to return next year. People are so nice and look after the guests so well. I have already recommended to lots of friends!

Amazing place to get back in touch with nature! Accommodations are basic, but sufficient, but the views, location and service make it a memorable experience! Definitely recommend a stay of at least two days due to the travel distance and in order to fully enjoy the relaxing nature of this place!

Had a brilliant two nights at Castaway. The views are insane, the private beach is one of the best I've been to. Russ and Jannik were really friendly hosts, they set up the BBQ for us on both nights (which was also great).

You won't want to leave!!
Our shuttle was greeted by friendly staff who carried our groceries to the kitchen and dropped our bags off at the huts. We were welcomed with a beverage and they gave us the tour. Everything was clean from the bathrooms to the kitchen. The chill out area near the bar was filled with good conversation along with amazing views.
The beach is absolutely breathtaking but can be a bit tricky to get down if you don't watch your step.
As for the sleeping space I was plenty warm the blanket and sheet they provided and it was probably one of the better sleeps I had on my trip.
Can't recommend this enough if you want to get away!

Loved it here! Such a great vibe if you're looking for a beautiful place to switch off and escape technology and tourists. The views are stunning and there's some nice little beaches to go swimming or it's possible to rent kayaks, SUP and mountain bikes for reasonable prices. The place was very clean too. Everyone was friendly and the staff go out of their way to be helpful and kindly arranged to return my shirt to me that I had left in their van - thank you!

We had a lovely stay at Cast away! It is not only a very beautiful place where you can sleep to the Sounds of the sea, but first and foremost it is a community. The staff is very friendly sharing knowledge and experiences. It is also very easy to talk to other guests. And there are dogs and cats - so besides showering with cold water there was absolutely nothing not to love. We will be back for Sure!

We had an amazing stay at CastAway- truly paradise on earth! We spent the whole day swimming at their beach, snorkeling, paddle boarding and hanging out in the hammocks. It was so great to meet so many other travelers who were also staying there. Didier was a great host and was very helpful with the whole experience. The amenities were also much more modern that we were expecting- there was a great kitchen, clean bathrooms and very well kept common spaces and a bar. We hope to be back!

Had such an amazing experience at this incredible place to stay! The location is fantastic and the place is so welcoming and relaxing! Didier and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful, the shuttle bus made the whole journey very smooth and we couldn't have wanted anything more! Cast Away is a great place to be. Didier, the owner, has made the most chill out place in Croatia. We began our days with swimming in the ocean, right in front of our hut. All night the sound of the sea. A shared kitchen, where you can have nice conversations with the other people. And we made our first woodoven pizzas.

Stayed here for two nights, such a lovely get away in Hvar. Very remote, no tourists, secluded beaches, and lovely views.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, special mention to Ross who was very friendly and had great music on at the bar.
Lots of activities to do there, for example you can use snorkelling gear for free, or for a very reasonable fee you can rent paddle boards or kayaks. We used the kayak, and visited the local town and a few of the secluded beaches nearby. Some of the beaches/bays we stopped at, we were the only ones there. The water was so lovely and clean also.
They also have a bbq and pizza oven to use if you wish. They also have a shuttle transfer which helped make everything run smoothly.
If this is your sort of vibe, I definitely recommend this over the main Hvar town. I wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay at Cast Away and felt rejuvenated after our time there. We had been on the road travelling for a while, so it was particularly nice to have some chilled time with beautiful settings. Cast Away is really well set up, with comfortable huts, a communal kitchen, shower and bathrooms. It’s obvious that the owner has put in enormous efforts to make the place what it is today. We loved the lounge chairs and hammocks dotted throughout the camp site - great places to sit and read or watch the sunset. The stars were incredible at night. We met the wonderful staff working there and lovely fellow travellers. It’s really a unique experience and we can’t recommend it more highly. It’s an eco resort out in the nature - so of course there are some bugs (but also amazing sea life and mesmerising sky views!)

Castaway was an incredible place with amazing people and will stay imprinted on my heart forever. Didier is so lovely over email and lets you know all the details and things to consider! A quick flag he’s nice but quite quiet in person so was a bit weird on arrival and in shuttle but as soon as we got to the place Beth came out and welcomed us, showed us around and her energy and vitality made me feel comfortable. Beth and Tom were amazing the whole duration of our stay. As a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I made friends straightaway and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Beth was a great host and face of castaway. Her smiley face, her incredible yoga sessions (which weren’t advertised!) and chilled vibe! The actual tent is so so comfortable and the views and beach are unbelievable. I made friends for life in three days and I’m trying to find a way to get back there as soon as possible! Love you guys and thanks for having me and allowing me to share in the piece of paradise you’ve created there 😊 a truly magical place- I’m almost scared to leave this review in case it gets too busy and I can’t get in!!!!

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed it. The staff was really nice and helpful, also with organizing activities. The whole atmosphere was really relaxed. Facilities are basic and minimal, but you come here for relaxing, nature and the view.
Loved the yoga, that was a big plus.

Cast Away was a great experience for me and my girlfriend. The environment was beautiful (and rough ;D) for a great remote experience with limited resources. Every morning super peaceful to swim in the sea and we made great friends over there. The hosts and workers are all great and try to help you in any way.
Try to rent a vehicle (way before getting there) if you want to explore the island. Thanks again for the great stay cast away!

Fantastic experience! Didier has something special here. The history of the location, the seclusion of that area, the AMAZING staff (shoutout to the hosts Beth and Tom) all came together to create a unique and fun environment. If you are going to Hvar and want to spend a night or more away from the noise and with the best view on the island, this is the way to go!

We had the most amazing 4 nights at Castaway. The location is idyllic and the little pebble beach was so quiet. It was a dream!

Our little hut was very cute and was pretty comfortable. The team were really welcoming. We were really happy with the ecotourism aspect of the stay. We would definitely recommend staying for more than 1 night to have a chance to relax and enjoy the beach.
You can also hire bikes and kayaks!

Castaway was an exceptional reprieve from the busy traveling I was doing previously. I had been moving places every day or two and wanted a place to rest and relax for a couple of days and wished I had made it a longer trip! It was by far my favorite place I have stayed on my travels.
The staff were wonderful. Incredibly helpful and obviously passionate about what they were doing.
It was secluded and quiet. Many small areas to swim with not many people around. Hammocks and outdoor couches were available throughout the property.
The only con is that I did not have enough time here. Looking forward to my next trip and making sure it is for a longer period of time.
