The FisherMan's House - Sveti Klement

Went here for a birthday dinner with 9 people. The setting / decor is so beautiful! Service was amazing - the waitress suggested a shared menu for the table and did not disappoint! The food was super tasty, fish was fresh, and all cooked perfectly. Easily the best meal we had in Croatia! Highly recommend.

From the moment you step inside, you can immediately sense the warm hospitality that makes this restaurant stand out on Hvar. The food is simply exquisite, with every dish showcasing the chef's skill and dedication to culinary excellence. The ambiance is inviting and complements the dining experience perfectly. I can confidently say that this is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants on the island!

We live in NYC and often eat delicious, fresh food by world-renowned, talented chefs. FisherMan’s house is different. We were seated in the garden, surrounded by the figs, olives, grapes, and peppers that make up the beautiful dishes you eat. The fish is special. They catch it in the very waters you see on your way in, and then you enjoy it on your beautifully prepared plate within hours. The service is thoughtful, organized, and generous, as the locals who work here understand the importance of each ingredient, and each patron’s experience. This is a very special restaurant, we walked an hour from Palmanzana to get here. And it was worth every step.

This restaurant is absolutely the most epic find. The owners are absolutely brilliant and they treated us like VIP guests. It was lovely to not even look at a menu and have the experts just bring food out that was nothing short of spectacular. Their house wine is really fantastic and our children had the best time there. They played with Bella their dog and could run around and explore, giving us the time and luxury to focus on great conversation and great food. The place is really gorgeous and the atmosphere superb! GREAT GREAT find. This is what traveling adventures are made of!

You could come for the situation, only. You would miss the history of this pension that you read, walking around. It is a privilege to meet such places . Products, prices and services are well balanced to make you leave glad and happy.
I certainly recommand.

On behalf of the entire Amber crew/all Swedish (Johan, Nadia, Sigge, Michaela and Sonia), I would like to thank your team for one of the best (maybe the best) restaurant experiences ever in our lives. We left with a big WOW!

From the instructions for arrival/mooring, your colleague Nasha’s walk around the premises and telling a bit the story of the place, drinks and laughter in the bar, subtle service in the restaurant, exceptional food (especially your shrimp pasta), home grown veggies and of course homemade house wine. The complete experience could not be better.

And again – your team really has the touch for good, discrete, and joyful service.

I sincerely hope that I can come back to your place with my sailboat or maybe just a retreat weekend, as I understand you offer accommodation. Did not see the rooms, but imagine they go with the rest of your unique decoration, attention to detail and good taste.

If ever there is a place on internet (trip advisor or similar) where you would like me to place this review, I will take time for it. A team like yours deserves to be renowned.

2020 we made our first visit to this beautiful bay and the wonderful restaurant, 2023 we came back and asked for a buoy and a reservation and enjoyed the food and the night on our boat with lots of stars on the sky. Thanks to the fisherman's house, it will not be our last visit to Sveti Klement!

Incredible lunch spot overlooking the vineyard and bay from the terrace. The service was friendly and relaxed, but the food was delicious. We ate the whole sea bream and whole sea bass with roast veg, all cooked perfectly and super tasty. The Pošip white wine was lovely and paired well with the fish.

We took a return water taxi from Hvar then walked the 3km on a good track to the restaurant in Vlaka. An easy walk, though unpaved so decent trainers/shoes recommend. This was so worth the effort and a world away from the busy tourist spots. Excellent value too, at 600kn for two courses each and wine.

Lovely place with wonderful food and caring service. Perfect example of a place that has not embraced complacency and instead tries hard to please others every time. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Fabulous place to have a great dinner with lots of spirit. The owner greets the guests and gave menu recommendations for every person in the group.
They offer selfmade wine right out of their backyard.
The grilled fish was very good and even the steak was delicious.
This place is worth a sailing trip.

Nice restaurant with cozy atmosphere. We only had drinks there but at least they offered us seats while the other place on the island required reservations. However to have a meal you have to make a reservation in advance. The staff was nice and you can pay with a card

Found on google and drove the boat around to explore. Its a beautiful little garden space with lots of nature and smell of fermented wine. Meals all fresh from the land so menu always changes… we had tuna, octopus, beetroot salad and potatoes. Was all delicious and light for a mid day break. Must visit if you have a boat to get here!!!

We came for a day-trip for lunch. Stunning location, stunning food and stunning service. What an absolute gem.

Amazing place with wonderful staff!
When we visited one of our group had just cut his foot open, and the staff here were superbly helpful; they bandaged his foot and gave him some "natural painkillers" (Schnapps). It was a 4 stitches cut, so fairly nasty.
Naturally we ordered plenty of food; everything we ate was amazing. The "regular" service was fast, cheerful, efficient, and accurate.
On top of all this, the venue is super. Lovely breeze, great garden atmosphere and comfy chairs.

Just one word of warning - there were a lot of wasps around, so take repellent if you have a problem with the,.

This place is absolutely magnificent. The atmosphere is unique, the food made by the Austrian chef is amazing, the multiculti family & staff who run this place are lovely! Almost all vegetables are homegrown, wines & schnaps are homemade! We highly recommend & will definitely return asap 🥰

Exceptional. A real gem of a restaurant that serves simple dishes done well. Home grown wine and limoncello are both delicious. Tuna sashimi is some of the best we have ever had. Would highly recommend!
