Velanera Hotel & Restaurant

Definitely recommend! We had a great stay! Room is spacious and clean, parking is free, pool is great after a long day at the beach. Breakfast is just what you need to start a good day.
We tried a couple of times the restaurant as well and the food was excellent- the black risotto comes to my mind, as the fried calamari.
In general the property is very well maintained, the staff is very helpful and Mario particularly gave us some nice tips. During our stay in August it was the perfect getaway and we relaxed in good conditions considering Covid.
We did not mind and we knew, sea coast is not really within 10 min walking distance. But we took the car and explored the area. We recommend Kamenjac area as well as Brijuni islands or the cities of Pula and Rovinj.

Went for food as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations. The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely brilliant. We had beef steak and tuna steak which were both cooked to perfection. The deserts were wonderful, apple strudel and a chocolate souffle. Great evening in a fantastic setting to watch the sun go down over a tasty bottle of wine which was superbly recommended by our waiter.

Management and staff made us feel extremely welcome and at home, they were ever so kind and helpful.

Food was amazing, attention to every little detail from presentation of the food to plates, silverware.
Rooms have a modern feel, decorated minimalisticaly with vibrant colors, they just scream life and relaxation, very spacious and clean.

Modern hotel in the country. Comfortable rooms and great food. Try the octopus salad! Tasty breakfast with fresh fruits. Also has a nice, clean pool. If you stay here, rent a bike from the nearby bike shop and go for a bike ride along the beautiful coast of Sisan and Liznjan.

Stayed here for 2 days & 1 night after coming back from Outlook festival. Beautiful hotel, calm and quiet atmosphere with lovely views by the pool, very clean & spacious rooms, delicious food at a good price, helpful staff. 10/10 highly recommend this hotel!!

Vela Nera / Bodulka is simply the best restaurant in South Istria. The Shrimp Artichoke Parmesan salad is a masterpiece, just as the Tuna fish with creamed cucumbers... Beef tartare (on toasts) is spectacular. Lamb is also excellent. Don't miss the Chantilly soufflé to end this delicious Croatian meal. Best choice of local wines. You will not find such a creative cuisine for this price anywhere in Europe (nor probably elsewhere). Simply fantastic.
