NOVA Rent a Car Dubrovnik Airport

Been renting cars from Nova rent a car many times in the past and in different locations in Croatia and never had problems with staff or cars. Staff is very professional and helpful and cars are clean and ready to be used. Recommended!

Definitely a 5 stars experience! We cancelled our booking with other company after the reviews we had read and chose Nova instead. Because of an accident we need to wait 30 mins till we get the car and they offered us 2nd driver for free for being patient!
😊 They gave us a Dacia Sandero for 5 days, which was almost new and super clean. The check-in and check-out procedures were super easy without hidden costs! The girl there, was super polite and friendly! We are going to choose NOVA again with no second thought! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great experience! Cancelled our booking with Avis after terrible reviews, and chose Nova instead. Really glad we did. Friendly and helpful staff, they even upgraded our car free of charge when they saw that we were a family of 4 with 3 suitcases. No pressure to buy extra insurances (as we were already covered through our credit car).
Everything went smooth. Highly recommended!

I am writing this while we are stuck halfway up Lovcen National Park in Montenegro, and the time is 8pm in the evening. We rented the car from Dubrovnik city earlier this morning and drove down to Kotor, Montenegro, and along the way up Lovcen National Park, we got stuck here because both our right side tires burst when going over a big pothole.

Yet, Nova was quick to respond and answered our queries in perfectly comprehensible English, even though it was past their working/office hours. Franko reassured us that "We are here for you, in case of anything please contact us." We are currently waiting for a mechanic to pick up our replacement car from Dubrovnik and drive it over to where we are, somewhere up in the Montenegrin highlands, late into the night.

This is indeed reassuring and goes beyond the level of service that we expected... Even though we had to pay the mechanic fees of HRK 1875 (which we found reasonable for a cross-border, late night, mountain rescue service), we were expecting to be stranded here overnight. Really glad to have rented the car from Nova.

Oh and at the point of rental, we were assured that the price of the rental was all-inclusive of damage & theft insurance including tires and windscreens, cross-border charges, etc. Hence, the damaged tires were fully insured.
That's a whole lot better than the other big players that lump in additional charges one by one as you go along. We paid €295 for 5 days rental of a VW Golf but got a pleasant upgrade to a Seat Arona FR, which we found to be very reasonable. I only wish that Nova would expand and be available in more countries!

*********Update at 11pm on the same day:
It was such a great relief to have received our replacement car delivered halfway up the mountain to us, even after dark. Despite it being so late, Franko is still in touch with us to make sure we are okay. Such hospitality! we only hope we did not cause too much trouble!

We had the most amazing experience. Franco and Stijepo were very polite and very accommodating. The car was excellent and good price. We are defined using their services when back in Croatia.

Located in one of the booths immediately across the street from outside the airport, Nova was immediately accommodating for us and gave us great service. I accidentally booked an economy car for Zagreb instead of Dubrovnik and they provided us a higher level diesel right away at no extra costs. Picking up the car took about 15 minutes. They also provided the "green card" to us because we were traveling to Montenegro. The vehicle itself was solid except for a low tire pressure warning message, but this quickly went away.

During our trip they responded promptly to email as well regarding a question about the fuel.

Returning the car was easy and with zero hassles, and took only a few minutes.

Definitely glad I went with this company instead of some of the "legacy" rental companies which I read terrible reviews about. Highly recommend.

We took a car from Dubrovnik airport and returned to Zagreb airport (+100 Euro). Traveled not only in Croatia bur also to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzagovina (+50 Euro) The staff in both offices was friendly and quick. We bought full insurance. They gave us car upgrade, new Hyunday Kona only 3000 km mileage. Car didn't have any issiues. Roads in Croatia are full of hills and slopes but its in very good condition. Our car fuel consumption was - 6,4 l/ 100 km. The only minus - there are no full to full fuel options. So you need to leave same fuel amount as you get in the begining. If you dont calculate precisely you just leave surplus fuel to the company :) In full insurance option they freezes 200 Euro in credit card for fuel or fines. This amount was returned 3 days after we returned car.

I rented a car with NOVA for 10 days.I was impressed by the professionalism of the Support Manager, Franco Balancin who was in contact with me before we arrived. He was very supportive and helpful in providing not only important information about the rental, but also about our traveling in general. The agent who took care of our rental (pick up and drop off), Mr. Stjepo was also very professional and kind. My wife and I are very happy with the experience we had with NOVA company. We have rented cars in many counties and I can attest that the treatment and help we received from both Franco and Stjepo exceeded our expectations.

Efficient pick up and drop off, good car, picked up in Split then went to Montenegro and back to Dubrovnik- no problem at all.

By far the best car rental experience I had. Very good value for money. Quick to pick up the car, brand new VW T-Cross. Paid exactly what I booked and was not charged extra like with Avis/Europcar. We had a puncture (our fault) and returned the car on a spare donut wheel, and because of full insurance they didnt charge us anything!! Forget big car rentals, go with these guys, amazing amazing service.

Franko at NOVA / NU car rental was amazing! He made a complex task of a multi-month multi-country car rental experience super pleasant! He was also very helpful and accommodating for when some of our plans changed. I called other companies and none were able to do what Franko did!!

Wonderful service, much better value for money than Avis etc. Had a puncture on the last day and so had to return on the spare wheel. Unlike Avis the wheels were covered by the insurance Nova. Highly recommend!
