Having dinner with a family of seven persons. The restaurant has arranged a transfer for us from the city center. Short tour about the peka & winery. Both of them were excellent & tasty. Good service and friendly staff. The reservation is required in advance. You can buy a wine there (and we did it).

Firstly, it was a great experience. When we have arrived there, we got a small tour around this place. We have seen the winery and the ovens, where all the peka is being cooked.
Peka itself was absolutely amazing. Nothing more to add really. The appetizers and desserts were delicious too.
The wine tasted great as well. We even bought some bottles for home after the diner.
Lastly, the service was very friendly, polite and professional. It was quite busy at the restaurant, but we had the attention of the servant all the time and that is impressive. Great job, great service, would definitely recommend this place.

The place were not official open for the day, but they served us small fish&meat plates anyway. They were simply delicious. Both of them. We took also their own wine. You really should try it!

We were picked up by the restaurant taxi, had a great tour of the winery and food cooking area

The traditional Peka lamb and fish were the highlight of our holiday on Viz

Best part of our trip to Vis. What a true gem.

First and foremost, they graciously accepts credit cards which is about 1 in 50 on this island.

Pretty easy to make a reservation.

We drove ourselves there but they actually provide shuttles if you’re staying in vis town 👏.

Experience: The younger lady that greeted us was so warm and welcoming, a breath of fresh air from what we had grown used to during our 4 weeks in Croatia.

Welcome drinks. Discussed options and what she enjoyed the best there then set us up to tour the wine cellar which we bought a bottle of Bugava to go. (I will say it wasn’t the same quality as the glasses we had during dinner though but that’s okay we still enjoyed it and it’s only $12 so maybe they have a more expensive bottle that’s the same?)

Server: She was prompt, friendly and just attentive enough. Perfect.
Food: Sadly they were out of the fish pie so we didn’t get to try that but the bread was fresh baked and quality. The Lamb Peka was our first so nothing to compare to but it was good. Wish we went with the seafood - only reason we didn’t was because we didn’t want octopus but it sounds like they don’t do it with the seafood one so I would get the seafood with rice peka for sure if doing it over again. Also a really big portion for the two of us, we felt like it was a really great value.

Atmosphere: Rural vineyard elegant feel, garden seating was our preference and it was perfect. You can also sit under a pergola style with vines growing over it allowing for small or large groups, or in a more covered area so you have plenty of options there.

Highly recommend, by far best part of our 6 day Vis stay 🥂

Pretty good experience overall. We did a hike from the beach which took us around an hour. We were met by a cherry liquor aperitif on the house. We tried three starters - the traditional fish pie, fish plate and meat plate. Nothing exceptional about any of them but still good experience to try. If I order them from the ones worth trying more to less then fish pie would outrank the meat plate which would in tern outrank the fish plate. Both peka with octopus and peka with lamb were delicious and the portions were very big. If you are a group I would recommend ordering less portions in total than the number of people in the group. Desserts were pretty average. The house wine was good. If you want to have peka - the traditional Croatian dish made on a wood-fired oven - you have to make a reservation in advance. There is no formal menu in the restaurant and the staff presents it verbally. The prices are a bit higher than I would expect though

Update 6/2022

Still the same - great food, huge portions, great price! Staff, service, everything top notch. Went to see the winery, lovely to hear the local philosophy and what makes the produce unique.

Went for the Monkfish 'Peka' to change things a bit and really pleased with the choice - the taste is unique and different than what you would expect.

Call ahead (ideally a few days ahead) and you will not be disappointed!

8/2017 An incredible experience! The staff and the setting were amazing, the food and wine on another level.

We arrived without a booking for dinner, but were still able to have platters and wine tastings. Made for the perfect afternoon. Other food looked incredible, wish we had booked

If you want to try some great octopus or lamb (made "ispod peke"), then this is the place to visit. We didn't try the lamb, just the octopus. It was very tasty.
You have to call one day in advance to make a reservation.
There is a big parking right in front of fhe restaurant. The terrace is very large, and it has a lot of space for the kids to play.
The dessert selection was a little poor, but the main course made up for it.

The yummiest Peka! We emailed two days prior to book in for lunch and to order our Peka. Around €26 per person for the lamb Peka. Would highly recommend, the meal is very large so come hungry! Worth the trip out from the town and they have a shuttle service (€15).

Not much to say except “perfection”!
The food, portions, staff, wine, everything was as it should be and so much more.
Big parking space is available (you do need a car to get there from Vis or Komiza).
If you plan to get peka like we did (recommend!!) make sure to book and order in advance so they can cook it on time.
Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality you will get.
Definitely looking forward to coming back, thank you!
P.s. You will get a short tour of their wine cellar where you can buy the bottles which can be a great souvenir from the island.

Few things first:

-reservation has to be madr few days in advance;

-it’s wirth to order peka(on the pic) which is slowly cooked meal in a pan covered in ashes. We ordered octopus which was 10/10.

-you can buy some wines there, i recommend you white ones, especially bugava which is being made just on vis island

Overall i would say 9/10 just because it was kinda pricey

Best restaurant hands down on Vis and probably in whole Dalmatia! The food was excellent, wine superb and the staff was super nice. The ambient is as you see beautiful and warm. You can’t go to Vis without coming here at least once. Roki’s is a winery too so you can take a look around their cellar and buy the wines.

Amazing atmosfere and food! Worth every cent! The owner is food and vine expert and very nice person who is doing what is doing out of love and passion for its work. And you can really feel this in his restaurant/konoba. If you want to experience Vis and Dalmatia in its essence, Roki's is the best place for it!

Lovely service - Peka must be preordered, but was very good. Also loved Roki's own wine which is some of the best I've had on the island. Friendly staff, great setting, definitely wear bug spray

The best food and service on the island of Vis. Loved it both last year and this year. The waitresses are really nice and make you feel at home.

We got here for lunch around 1pm and it was half empty which was good. The waiter was very attentive and had good suggestions for side dishes and wine. Also I had a great sparkling wine as aperitivo.

We tried Viška pogača for antipasto and for main course we had octopus (hobotnica ispod peke) and it was delicious.

We didn't take any pictures as we were too busy getting right into eating.

This is one of the best places on Vis island.

The monkfish Peka here was phenomenal! The portion size was very generous, with two fish and plenty of vegetables. I think it’s one of the only places to get monkfish Peka so I’d order that here over other options. We also had the Carob cake to finish, which was delicious - apparently it’s popular and runs out quickly. The restaurant setting is beautiful and secluded. It was quite warm in the evening, and there’s not too much breeze. You should try to book about a week in advance as it gets fully booked. They arranged a transfer for us to and from Rukavac which was good value. The service was friendly and warm.

One of the best dining experiences of my life! They picked us up in the bay and drove us back to the restaurant. The taxi driver and host were perfect. Our peka was ordered 4 hours before hand and was ready when we got there. The atmosphere here was magical. We had lamb and monkefish - both were cooked perfectly. If you have the opportunity to visit this restaurant, do it!
