Villa Helen's Hotel & Restaurant

The only thing that I miss it's a good breakfast whenever I wake up in the morning... furthermore the hotel has a great shape... and most of it it's the safest place to spend a wonderful lazytime... besides you are sorrounded by great plants and flowers...!!!

Great beautiful place to stay Helen was great and very kind. Get the Sambo creek boys to take ya to the islands while your their best tour around there.

Best sleep I’ve had in Honduras. Helen is a fantastic host, the decor is impeccable - gardens are a must see. The suite’s king bed was great, the secluded area is fantastic. Great pools, superb access to the beach. Helen even very kindly gave us a lift to the bank in La Ceiba to continue our travels.

I went to Helen’s just to get out of the city, lay in a hammock, enjoy the ocean breeze and eat a yummy lunch. It was amazing and will always be my La Ceiba beach spot. I also made an overnight reservation for later this month. Can’t wait to come back!

We came here in May of 2010. We loved it. This place is a great resort for any traveler looking for a quality place to lay their head. The location is great - right on the beach, near local attractions and not too far from the city. The pools were clean and the food was great. The rooms were spotless, and the sheets were clean as well. We only had one problem: my Dad got stung by a scorpion - which is nothing they could have prevented, but the night security guard assured us it was nothing to worry about. Great place and I cannot wait to come back!

You can't ask for a nicer spot to stay. Friendly, clean, relaxing area to stay by the ocean. Helen is the best.

Clean, cute, quiet, near to the action, but far from the hustle and bustle. Really enjoyed meals at the hotel: both American and Tipico breakfasts. Big BBQ for our group in the evening. The expansive beach feels secluded - great for a long walk. The Garifuna Village nearby offers restaurants, bars, and real real dancing!!! It's an amazing experience. Loved Sambo Creek Zip-Line, Hot Spring, Waterfalls, and Massages... ask about the super sweet package deals. They'll pick you up and drop you off to Helen's Hotel. All & all a must do :)

Note: it is an older building, but this was never an issue. Everything was in fine working order, the pool was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful

Nice quiet place in front of the beach, they sell food(breakfast/lunch and and drinks). I liked the hammocks area a lot. 10 minutes walk along the beach from Sambo Creek town and 15 minutes walk from the main road. Helen, Tito and Chiqui were very helpful with info, tips and recommendations. The room I stayed was very nice(tv, ac, private room with hot water) and the price was incredible good value. Bring mosquito repellant.

Clean, remote, right on the beach. Listen to the surf at night. No other places are nearby to eat or buy things but they have everything you need. Some of the pictures depict places nearby that are closed, and are not what you will find at Helen's.

The most wonderful family owned hotel and much more, we stayed for 3 weeks and Helen took great care of our family, her husband handled all vehicle repair contacts as we drove from Washington state in a VW Eurovan, the van was ready for our trip back to the states while we went to Roatan for a couple weeks. They took care of our belongings while we traveled by sea. We came back to a warm reception and we consider them as family and a second home. It has been ten years since our family was there, but I do know that Helen, if u r humble and not an ass tourist, will welcome u and offer u many local insites to the local way of life!! I miss u Helen, I just came across your website remembering our wonderful trip. God bless you!
