D&D Brewery, Lodge, and Restaurant

Someone in the immigration line coming into Honduras said "you have to go to D&D". So I rode my motorcycle up through the mountains to find this hidden gem. The entire area is stunning. The hotel is worth the drive. I stayed an extra night because I didn't want to leave. I spent the evenings talking with the staff at the restaurant. When I left it felt like I was leaving friends behind. Thanks for the great stay Lucy and Andrea. The food was excellent and the craft beer is really good.

THE NICEST HOSTEL YOU WILL EVER STAY AT!! It’s like a luxury resort, the rooms are extremely clean and the restrooms are always stocked with toilet paper and soap. Also the food is phenomenal and affordable. I love this place and will be bringing my family here! They also offer bird tours which I wish I had attended.

I stayed here for a weekend and it was INCREDIBLE! The manager, Daniel, took such great care of my group and was extremely accomodating. We went on lots of wonderful excursions and got to experience the beautiful country. We stayed in the cabins and the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! It was hard to choose from the menu because it was all SO GOOD! I would definitely return to D&D and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Honduras!

Great place for lunch after a boat ride! Love the atmosphere and the beer is great! I am not a beer person but I liked the raspberry one!

Visited D and D recently and was impressed. The beer was top-notch with a great variety, and the ambience was cozy and natural, a significant improvement from years ago. A great spot for drinks with friends.

Great place, lots of vegetation, beautiful views. Lots of birds singing. Rooms are very nice. Cabin style. Bathroom can use a little update. But over all very nice. Especially for the price

I recently attended a wedding where we all stayed at D&D. The staff is incredible - very friendly and hospitable. The restaurant is delicious, and the menu is in Spanish and English, which is helpful. The views are lovely - lots of green, beautifully landscaped pathways and areas for gathering (including a fire pit and hammocks). The lodging was also very comfortable. There are a mix of private cabins and shared lodges. It is a perfect place for a large group to gather. It is easy to walk or catch a ride to some amazing sites, including a waterfall with ziplining and a coffee plantation. A special Thank You to Bobby, Daniel, and everyone who made our stay so wonderful!

Great place to stay and great staff! The manager, Daniel, is very welcome along with the rest of the staff. Food was amazing, I recommend the Burger 🍔. cheapest option and great value for the price, highly recommend if you’re looking for low budget and comfortable option around the lake. Also recommend the outdoor showers.

If you are visiting or passing by Peña Blanca, then you should give it a try. They brew really good beers; you will love it if you like drinking Pale Ale and locally brewed beers.
Their fire pit setting is awesome. It was perfect to sit by the fire and enjoy it after rain. :)

Absolute gem 💎 I stayed here for four nights and had a fantastic experience. Daniel really takes pride in running a great hotel/restaurant/bar and they made my stay extremely comfortable, convenient ,and enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The location was perfect, next to the eco park and close to everything in town. I would come back in a heartbeat. Gracias 🙏

The staff is amazing, the grounds are beautiful. The food is top notch, the breakfast was delicious every single morning, the pizza and other lunch/dinner options. Rooms were clean, well appointed. The spa and massages are first rate. The manager Daniel was really great as far as setting up day trips, and assisting with any asks. I cannot come up with a single downside to my 4 days here except I wasn’t able to stay longer.

This place is not for no reason the number one recommended accommodation in Honduras, according to Lonely Planet!

Around D&D you can do any sorts of nature based activity, my favorite has been sunset kayaking. Very safe area, did not expect that!

What an incredible place! Extremely clean, incredible food, and the staff are always kind and attentive. The outdoor theme is a true paridse that makes you feel like your in the jungle. Plenty of activities within walking distance from kayaking and fishing to hiking and swimming to shopping and eating. The locals are friendly and it feels much more safe than alot of places in the US. I've walked around the surrounding areas at night with zero issues. Can not recommend this place enough! D&D will be a place I will come back to again and again!

Comfy place to stay. Clean. Does get really busy on weekends like they say. The staff is helpful with local information, and also have a guidebook online. They can store your food in their kitchen fridge and even reheat it for you, so you can eat at cheaper places and not have to hide leftovers.

I'm not a fan of beer, but the 1 I did try was quite difficult to drink. I've never had a beer like it before to pinpoint what about it made it so weird for me. But I've not had any like it before, so that felt like a sign that they make them different here. If you normally like beer, I can't say if you're taste buds will enjoy it better than mine, but it'll be something different at least 🤷🏼‍♀

The dorms are skinny, so there's not much room for 8 people's bags. Lots of stepping over backpacks and difficult to get to the storage lockers (bring your own lock) without moving stuff around a lot. They could also use with a clothes line for drying, most of us had our clothes and swimsuits draped over the bed frames and ladders, which is quite annoying when the room is full. The fan in the room helps dry the clothes at least.

Beds are comfy and clean, they give you a towel. Power outlets at each bed. Toilets are clean and were well stocked my entire stay. Automatic lights most areas outside, so be aware they might shut off while you're in the shower or at the sink for a while cuz they're motion sensored.

Unbelievably beautiful location. The food, coffee, and beer for breakfast and dinner is absolutely delicious. The rooms are incredibly reasonable for the price.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I recommend this place! Initially I planned to stay 5 nights, which became 9. Every other traveller I met also stayed more days than planned. There are many things to do nearby & everything is very accessible. The lodge is in a super beautiful environment, where you feel connected with nature and the facilities were all amazing. Everything was clean, comfortable and cosy. The food was excellent + their own beer too. The staff is amazing, they really made me feel at home. You won’t regret nor forget this place 💛

Hands down the best place to stay in the whole of Central America. The staff is local and very friendly. Rooms are great value for money. There are plenty of outdoor activities, free and guided. We loved our day with Leonel up in Santa Barbara and saw a quetzal couple😍 .

This place was amazing. The lodging was so cute, clean, and just perfect. The food was excellent too! The staff was so nice and just made staying there even more worth while. On top of all the cool things to do it was the perfect weekend. I highly recommend kayaking and doing the bird watching tour with Mattias!!! Highly recommend and hope to come back!!

This place is awesome and exactly as described by the many reviews below. It's got a jungle oasis feel which makes you feel like you're truly away from it all. The onsite restaurant has good food and the beer brewed onsite is also tasty. The accommodations are very nice. We rented a cabin which had two beds and a private bathroom and worked well for us. The communal fire pit is fantastic for having a cold beer at the end of the day and meeting fellow travelers. The people that work there are super friendly and always willing to help you plan your activities during your stay. Special shout out to Dillon who was working the bar, he's the man.
