An amazing National Park with the highest mountain of Honduras. Not easy to reach without a car, but tuctucs go to the entrance. From there, it is a 45min walk to the visitors center.

I went here around 2 years ago, beautiful, just beautiful!
Anyone knows if it's pet friendly (dog)? (Edited July/2019) is not allowed to take pets

Anyway, still my favorite place to hike in Honduras

One of the best experiences in my life. The park includes the guide, and the tents. You just need to have the attitude

Very gorgeous park. While you can summit to the top of the mountain, I wasn't able to. My friends have and it's a fun experience. Down near the entrance is a beautiful bird lookout. The river runs through the park as well. I will return next time I'm in the area.

A beautiful park, only did the short tour. But one can do the full 3 day trek and camping with a guide. I hear its amazing. Will try it next time.

Great location to go with family and friends. This national park has the mountain with the highest altitude in Honduras, Cerro Las Minas (2,849 masl or 9,116 ft). It also offers good birdwatching and wildlife opportunities.

Well maintained and marked trails with a nice and helpful visitor centre. Great views from Gallo trail, nice shelters and camping spots.
