One of the most unique hotels I have ever stayed in. Old style, but comfortable , clean and with great hot showers. Also, it comes with a fireplace that is managed by the staff ( just ask to be started for you ). Basically the best location - right by the old church, in the center of the market. Book it, you won't regret it.

The Mayan Inn was terrific. Super antiques. Interesting rooms all have fireplaces. Just push the buzzer on the wall and the staff come and light it for you. The food in the restaurant was great and they have a nice little bar where you can have a drink before dinner. Helpful friendly staff and good prices.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Service was amazing, specially from Tomas and Manuel, and the fireplace at night made our stay even more special. The location is perfect, the market is right around the corner. The interiors are filled with beautiful antiques and you have the feeling that you are living in former times. I will totally come back!

Exquist historical hotel ! everything there seem to be original from its glorious days. Staff are friendly and always there to bring you wood to keep the fireplace going . The bathroom works but water pressure is slow . Its was a bit different for my taste but it was the only one available ! Nonthless , I had a positive experience and the food at the restaurant was fresh. Look out for the parrots they bring out in the morning !

Fantastic hotel which is like living in a film set. The hotel was built in 1932 and nothing much has changed. The rooms are decorated in traditional style and each have lovely tiled fireplaces that are lit on your request by your personal butler. Rooms have beautiful original furniture and paintings as do the bar and dining rooms ( where your waiter dons traditional dress for the evening service). The courtyard gardens are lush and well maintained. Food was good and you will want to take Pedro the barman home with you. Very attentive staff. Full of all mod cons this place is not. But you go there for a different experience.
The Inn is situated a few places from the town square and the place is real insight into traditional Mayan life. Watching the locals conduct their ceremonial acts that are unchanged for centuries is fascinating. Worth the visit.

Almost two years after our stay at the Mayan Inn, our family still finds ourselves thinking back fondly to our stay here. We stayed just one night, arriving late and without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating. They put us up in a comfortable suite with a fireplace and wood, a cozy and comforting touch. In the morning, we enjoyed a nicely served and memorable breakfast. All around it was a great one night stay. In particular, we would like to thank the bellhop Manuel; his humility and service left a lasting impression that won’t be forgotten.

A hotel museum, from the 1930's, furnished with antiques and art in a prime location to the market. Our room had a view of the colorful cemetery and a fireplace to take the chill out of the cool mountain nights. Note: plumbing and bathroom is antique as well. The history of this hotel makes it a part of the experience of Chichi - we often forget much about generic hotels we sleep in, but the Mayan Inn will always be in our memories of our Chichi experience. The staff were wonderful.

Great experience! Personal assistant right at the market edge. Went back and forth from market to room several times. Jorge's service was excellent, he served dinner in the restaurant, lite our fireplace, and answered questions. He also several breakfast, lunch and dinner our second night. Old world ambiance was outstanding.

Great location, friendly staff, beautiful gardens to walk around and colorful guacamayas and green parrots to observe. The Sunday market was worth the trip. Also enjoyed the "street food" sitting on the steps of the church.

The Maya inn is a cute and historical inn. We had a nice fire place to keep the room nice and warm. Our service by Tomas Mejina was immaculate. Muchas gracias Tomas. I recommend Maya inn and to roam around the market which is a block away.
