Villa Cofrades Coffeeshop

Villa Cofrades Coffeeshop is tucked into a space in the mercado. My mocha was perfect and the Dip Vegano was wonderful. It was a comfortable place to enjoy my beverage and watch people pass by. The owner was very friendly and kindly answered questions I had about the culture. Please exercise patience when waiting, only the owner prepared everything when I was there. The wifi is good too.

Very nice little cafe inside the market, you can reach it only if you go inside the market street. The omelette and the potatoes are very delicious. Coffee black is also good.

Lovely little spot in the market with great wine, coffee and food. The artisanal beers were great.

Lovely little cafe/wine shop tucked away at the corner of the market, run by what I think was a father-son duo. Very decently-priced coffee and wine and lots of stylishly quirky bits of art to look at as you make your way through several glasses.

Great find among the lovely chaos of Mercado Santo Tomás / Mercado de Chichicastenango.

We were in a bit of a rush, and Diego’s cooking abilities merit more time to savor the food.

We had the traditional Guatemalan breakfast and the Tortilla Española.

The Guatemalan breakfast was delish in every way. The Tortilla Española was a bit dry. Good nevertheless.

Diego is a good man and has made this spot a special place.

Wonderful little cafe inside the market. Good place to relax, drink a coffee or a glass of wine and observe a colourful market. They also have wifi and a bathroom.

Un endroit merveilleux en plein cœur du marché! La nourriture est absolument délicieuse, elle est cuisinée sur le moment et presque sous nos yeux. On a l’impression d’être à la maison. Nous avons adoré cette adresse!
