Sheraton Grand Conakry

I love the service and hospitality in this hotel. The staff are so kind and nice. The infinity pool and the resultants are a great place to hang out and enjoy your time in Conakry.

It looks very new and very modern. I enjoyed in tranquility of this place. You can enjoy your evening while seating next to the pool and enjoying sunset. Very relaxing music, nice atmosphere...

You would not expect this kind of excellence in such a place. Great location. Right next to the ocean. I believe all rooms have the ocean view. Very spacious rooms, infinity pool, beautiful decor, excellent food, I hear the massage is to die for. And your stay cannot be complete if you haven’t had the pizza by the pool, just sumptuous!!!

This is a very beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. Great sea view from all rooms, very comfy beds, nice restaurants and bars as well as spa treatment and the food is very good. Very good staff who are hard-working and friendly.. Definitely enjoyed the stay and would love to be back here again anytime..

Top notch hotel. Clean and cool with a great pool,gym and restaurant. The staff is pro. Security is very good. The rooms are clean and modern. By American standards, its priced perfectly. Worth it.

Very nice hotel. Some confusion though. Why is Sheraton written on the building while the concierge desk has Marriot-Bonvoy written. The booking & emails also come from Marriot & not Sheraton. There where mosquitoes 🦟 at the reception on the day of arrival. Probably a one off cause I saw none after that day. The rooms are comfy. The little fridges are not stocked. Well, this will help guests avoid temptation & also avoid spending money. Its also nice that the concierge are multilingual. Saves a lot of hustle. The hotel appears to be on the outskirts of the bustling parts of town. This can be good & bad. Bad because there is usually a lot of traffic jam in the city. Trying to get to anywhere from the hotel can be very tasking. You'll spend so much time on the road in traffic jams. Its also good because you don't get to hear the noise pollution from the active city. Good hotel.

Aesthetic:
The hotel is well designed. Every view is picturesque. Nice sculptures all over the place. The decor is very well done and of quality.

Food:
They have a good variety of meals. Large options on the buffet. The dinner is double the rate of the breakfast buffet. Breakfast is about GNF 200,000 or $20 while dinner is GNF 400,000 or $40. I don't eat lunch so unfortunately no reviews for that. Room service is good and on time. Outside of the meal price, there is a tray fee of GNF 20,000 or $2. A 50cl bottle of water costs GNF 25,000 or $2.50. However, the room is well stocked with water and they are replaced everyday.

Staff:
The staff are smartly dressed, neat and polite. They have several multilingual staff which makes communication easy. They are also courteous.

Security:
The hotel seems to be quite safe. Enough security equipment and staff. Not too in-your-face but they are there. A good number are at the main gate & there is a check-in process with trained dogs sniffing out your car for contraband. You'll have to pass through a metal detector before entering the main building. The only lax area is the alternative door where the hotel's own vehicles are parked. There is an unmanned gate there which leads to the pool area.

Room:
The rooms are spacious and comfy. The beds and linens are great. There is a relaxing area and also a mini office with an office desk and chair. There is a balcony with a glass door access from the room. This gives you a good view of the Atlantic ocean. You can also choose to take in the fresh air by opening the sliding doors. This automatically turns off the air-conditioning.

Bathroom:
Bathroom is nice and neat. All amenities are provided. You may need to call the reception for items you need which are not stocked in the bathroom like toothbrush & toothpaste. These are all free. The shower is easy to use. The hotel water is treated but there are two bottles of water provided for you in the bathroom if you'll rather use bottle water to rinse your mouth.

Conclusion:
The hotel is very nice and I enjoyed my stay. They deserve their 5-star rating.

Very impressed !! We were greated with coockies and sweets and meal . Check in went fast. From the lobby (third floor) you could immediately see the infinity pool 👍👍 overlooking the sea and east beaches. Locals come here for wedding photoshoots. Also the atmosphere outside at the pool and garden was amazing, didn't want to go out to eat, just stay in and enjoy the stay . The rooms are well designed and large, only not much natural light coming in from the back-side of the hotel. Also diner excellent . But definitely worth 5 stars! Congratulations.....

Great comfort, great view, excellent vibe, friendly staff and good selection of food from the buffet. The gym and sauna are also an added bonus. The infinity pool is an excellent feature. Very pleased

Wonderful place to spend a week in quarantine. The staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful, and the hotel has great amenities, from conferences to leisurely stays.

The best quality rooms, service, and amenities probably in the entire country of Guinea! The only place I'd recommend staying in the area by far.

Awesome for business travel and close to the airport.

Downside is that travel to the business centre in rush hour can take 2 hours so if you have business meetings there think about it
