This place is literally a paradise. It is honestly the best place I have been to in Ghana. The service is 10/10 the rooms are also very creative. I love the fact that the fishermen bring their fresh catches not too far away. You can go buy directly from them and have the chefs cook for you. I need to go back asap.

Beautiful accommodation, the best I stayed in throughout my time in Ghana. Room was massive, comfortable, and well-equipped. The food served is delicious, and Julia (the owner) and all staff are lovely. Could not recommend more!

Best hotel that I stayed in Ghana. The rooms are so lovely and yet affordable. The location is paradise. The food and cocktails at Ahanta Waves were amazing, especially the free breakfast. The beach is beautiful, but the waves are a bit rough, so best for strong swimmers.

Busua is paradise, and Bebe is the most patient, surf instructor on the planet. I miss Bebe! He gives the BEST feedback--always a little encouragement and a little correction after each wave :) So good!

I took a week of lessons with Bebe this month, mostly with another group of people, and then one day by myself. The first day was so HARD! But every day got a little easier as Bebe said it would, and by the end of the week, I could stand on the board and ride a wave in. Most important, Bebe made surfing FUN! I had an absolute blast thanks to Bebe. Learning to surf was the reason I visited Busua, so being able to take lessons for a week and stand on the board was just a dream come true. Thanks, Bebe.

Bebe would come by Busua Inn to pick me up, or I would meet him at Ahanta Waves right next door. He sorted out the right time to catch waves each day given my beginner level, and his partner Louis was also very helpful out in the water with calling out timing to pop up on the board. Bebe is expert, encouraging, reliable, KIND, funny, I can't say enough. Thank you so much.

Amazing place run by great people! We stayed at the eco lodge and experienced amazing hospitality and laid-back atmosphere. Food is delicious, fresh, made with love. Rooms are designed with big attention for the details, shower under the tree is simply great! Peter and Julia will provide you useful tips, organize workshops, call for guides, friends, who can share some of the great Ghanaian vibe. Area is beautiful and wisely arranged by the owners. Couldn't recommend it more!!!

A great eco-lodge, it is situated on the edge of the busua Beach. Its appeal not only comes from the beautiful natural location, the lodge itself is built from mud and sticks. In terms of green building and sustainability, I'll give it a 10. The ambiance is cool and a great camp sites for groups of friends. They also allow tents on their premises. They have specific meal times, for example dinner is served at 7pm and not a minute before. It's hard to get food in between meal times. The food is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. The accommodation arrangement is comfortable. They have board games and other local games to engage in will waiting for food to be served. The staff is pleasant.

Based on their Instagram and the reviews I thought my experience with my wife would be great.

HOWEVER, I was extremely disappointed. First, the road to the place is more than terrible so be warned. There are no signs on the way to help identify if you going the right way. 5 minutes from the “luxury eco lodge” we traveled on a tight road through a village till we reached a bridge. The bridge had parts missing so you could literally see through to the water underneath.

SECONDLY, the word luxury should be removed from its marketing. The lodge is located next to a farm. The outdoor space looked run down. And in our room, the glass doors that overlooked a banana farm had no latches on the doors. That was a safety concern for our lives and personal items.

Thirdly, they had dogs on the premises. I am a big fan of dogs but these dogs looked unkept and they were walking around in the kitchen while they were cooking and in the dining area. These same dogs I saw playing in the lake and the beach.

Fourthly, we went for the surfing school but there was no clear idea from staff what time we could surf in the morning or if they would have classes at all. They should clearly inform guests before they arrive that surfing can only be done based on the tide for that day.
