Kangaroo Pouch Beach Resort

Although we didn't sleep there, it still became our favorite hangout spot, especially because Zinabu is the sweetest and so friendly! She is currently doing renovations to the place, so we cannot wait to come back and see what she's done!

Also, her cooking is incredible! And we ate there pretty much every meal so we know. Our favorite though was proper the red red and plantains! Although her fried rice is also fantastic and I love the way she did her fries.

Most of all, you should just go there to meet Zinabu. She will make your life brighter!

Busua is definitely a place to visit in Ghana, and Kangaroo Pouch is a great place to stay. We asked for a room with sea view and were relocated to a room with a very nice terrace. They even served breakfast there! You can also ask for surf lessons to make the most of your stay in Busua. Very good service (the girl in charge was kind and caring) for affordable prices.

We were all the family there and we felt at home, the treatment was excellent, the rooms were spacious and clean. They always made an effort to make us feel comfortable.

I want to testify to the siren and conducive environment that I felt on my first visit to Kangaroo Pouch Beach . I also like their welcoming and diligent reception. I remember perfectly that the pool cost only GHS 20.00 and I negotiated for a collective amount for my group. I was also given good amount of time to organize our programs. I can't say much much but I loved the international sceneries and the local artefacts being used at Kangaroo Pouch Beach

I stayed there for about 4 nights late november. Never have I experienced such genuine hospitality. The woman running the place was very nice, when I got sick with malaria, she took good care of me and gave me medicine (for free) and brought food of my choice to my room for a very good price. The staff will take good care of you and it's a beautiful location right on the beach. I went around the villages in the beginning comparing the hotels and this is clearly the best for the buck. Only reason for giving 4 star instead of five for the room is that it does not quite live up to a 4 star hotel standard which it is supposed to be, the shower had quite low pressure.

Nice place to be

Hier kann man surfen lernen. Eine Stunde mit Lehrer alleine kostet 250 Cedi und zu zweit 180 pro Person. Wer im Hotel Laughing Goat übernachtet bekommt einen Rabatt von 50 (alleine) oder 30 Cedi (zu zweit).
Getränke und eine Außendusche gibt es hier auch.

Okay to stay for a night or two. Right on the beach. No warm water but it's so hot you won't really want the water to be warm. Didn't like that there was only one socket with two plugs in the whole room. Spoke to the manager and she said if needed I could get an extension but I think that should be built in. You can't watch tv and have the fridge plugged in at the same time.
It's central to everything that you could do around the area and close to the public transport stand. The taxis on the corner are for private hire so keep walking a little further up the road to get the ones that everybody takes.
If using maps it's easy to miss the location as it's kind of in an alley. I didn't see parking while there as a result. Not sure if they have arrangement with some place close.
Would I revisit. Sure but not for more than a night or two.

No wifi either. Pay no attention to what booking or Expedia might mention

Cheap and cheerful place with rooms overlooking the sea.
Rooms could do with a little freshening up but clean and good value for money. Make sure you get a key for the main door so you don’t get locked out coming back late! The restaurant next door is great as well

Great little place, clean and friendly staff. Rooms are a bit small and dark, but come with a small balcony and the beachfront location is amazing. The lady who owns the place is a really good cook too and food was great. Overall we had a fantastic couple of days there.
If you are interested in Surfing too, ask for Kofi or Clement.

Spent a very relaxing 2 days with the team in Ghana over the Easter. The facilities are very safe and the staff went out of their way to be very helpful.

You are going to a beach such as Busia to send as much time on the beach rather than your room --- No need to pay double next door at Alaska and share the same beach!

We hang out here every day, but don’t live there. The most amasing view, shadow, cold beer, friendly staff, decent food and a great place to watch the beachlife and of course bath. Good priceing. Go here!

Very nice well done

The call line was answered even around 9pm. I was impressed by that . The reception was really good , I made a reservation but couldn’t stay as planned .
The narrow entrance to the premises has this very strong urine stench that hits you in the face .. And on arrival , there were many people on the premises smoking And the gentleman were calling out at me , hello , hi , miss, ….as a solo traveler, I felt extremely uncomfortable.
I had to leave immediately.
