The Hideout at Butre beach

I found the atmosphere very soothing, serene and inspiring. The dwelling was comfortable and the necessary toiletries were available for 150ghc, although I did not get a soap and toothpaste. (I probably should have asked 🤔). The walk to the main Butre township across the safe albeit rickety looking bridge and climb to Fort Batenstein were among the most exciting moments. Access to the fort comes at a charge; I paid 30ghc. I am confident that I'll return to stay longer. With regards to the menu, I can't provide a definite review since I only tried the chicken fried rice which I really did not enjoy. Very warm reception from the staff especially from Tony, the tour guide. He gave us coconut!! Ah yes, least I forget, you'd have to cover some good meters from Bokoro to get to the lodge. I found the journey too long and winding, however, I believe it's part of the experience.

It is the most neatest and cleanest beach in Ghana and great food and awesome reception. Very good for people who do not like big crowd and love to enjoy the pure nature of the see hills and sea turtles laying place. The most beautiful beach one could ever imagine of.

Very cozy resort directly at the beach front with affordable (50c/pers) little bungalows and a dorm. Its calm and promises an enjoyable stay for those who want a romantic getaway or just a quiet relaxed weekend. Restaurant is highly recommended (although the dishes are a bit salty sometimes).

The Hideout Lodge is my favorite beach spot in all of Ghana. It's beautiful, laid-back, and the food is delicious. It's also affordable too. They even have fresh coconuts grown right there. It's also walking distance to Butre and Fanta's Folly (another lodge). I have also witnessed sea turtles laying eggs and watched little turtles walk to see from the Hideout.

We love this simple resort. Food is fantastic and the staff is lovely. Accommodations are simple with cold water and ceiling fans. Always clean and well kept. A beautiful spot on the beach.

If you like a bit of adventure on the road head on to this beach. So so clean and the food is so good. Try the catch of the day and the lobster. Absolutely great value for money.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. Totally comfortable. One of the most amazing stretches of my trip and that is saying something. Visit before you die.

Definitely a place to affirm the phrase 'Peace of mind', as well as the adventurous bridge 😅 It's even magical hearing the waves in the room!

Best place in Takoradi when it comes to relaxing and eating. Beach is like in a postcard and food is freshly made. Don't miss loabsters and the Pina colada!
