Baobab House

It's cool and I love the place. First place of choice for Vegan food. 🇬🇭Ghana kente and other designed clothes are sold and ordered worldwide here. It's highly recommended for those on tour for a taste of African culture, food and learn the way of life. It's located few metres away from the Cape Coast Castle. Come make some memories.

The food here is outstanding. When I'm in Cape Coast I must always stop by to grab a meal and gulp down one of their many homemade beverages. I really love the moringa juice. It's a small restaurant with really tasty local dishes. They also have a small shop where they sell clothing, books, jewelry, etc.

When you come to Cape Coast you have to visit Baobab House. I think they have one of the best vegetarian kitchen. But this house is not a normal house. It's a part of the Baobab Children Foundation, an NGO organisation which is working with Children at the school, where they will be gratuated after 4 years. But come and see and if you want to stay for some days, rent a room in this house. You will be surprised an really happy.

Beautiful house, really nice staff, great food & drinks with a lot of choices and not expensive at all. Our room is clean and has a fan, the bathroom is a shared bathroom but also nice and clean and there's a shop with good souvenirs. Also the location is really good. Can definitely recommend going here!

I spend 7 nights in the Baobab house and I really had an outstanding great time here! The place is clean and comfortable with a nice view to the sea, the staff members are very kind and welcoming and the food is so delicious as well as healthy.
If I ever come back to Cape Coast I know for sure that I want to stay in the Baobab house again. Thank you for this great experience!

I first visited the Baobab House in September of 2022, and quickly became a regular customer. As I sat in the vibrant cafe, I immediately felt a sense of community. Being vegan and travelling I wanted to still ensure that I could try some traditional dishes: red red, groundnut soup, fufu, and it is because of the beautifully-kind team and the thoughtfully crafted meals, that I felt nourished and comfortable while beginning to explore the rich culture of the Central Region. It is just a bonus that the organization is conscious of their social responsibility through giving profits to the Baobab School in Kisi! Would definitely recommend to anyone & everyone (especially the juices!!)

The Boabab House is a beautiful, quiet place in the town centre of Cape Coast. You can eat vegetarian or even vegan food. The rooms are well made, the juices taste very refreshing and many interesting products are sold in the Baobab shop. You can even order dresses or furniture in this shop. These products will be made at a vocational school supported by and connected to the Baobab House.

We had to go back two days in a row. Super food and great service! Best food and value for money that we’ve had in Ghana. Healthy, varied, filling and tasty.

Ate good here. Very good place. Has good food, clean bathrooms, and good friendly people. The fresh ginger pineapple drink was delicious!

The Baobab Restaurant was a lovely place to visit and have diner with a group of 7. The menu is vegetarian/vegan and they fry all their food in coconut oil (healthy!).

Furthermore the Baobab menu highlights different plants/seeds/herbs that they cook with because of health benefits. For example the Moringa powder you can order as an add-on in your juice is highlighted and further explained in their menu and can also be bought in their small shop.

Lastly, part of the money that is spend at the restaurant goes to the baobab children's foundation.

Very kind staff, an excellent social project and some of the best pancakes I've had, and Ive eaten many a pancake...! Must visit

If you are a vegan visiting Cape Coast, then this is the best place for you. On sale are some African craft and clothing. You can grab some postcards here also. Would recommend for anyone visiting Cape Coast to pass by this place.

Very good food and drinks, nice staff, good but hot room, every GHc supports children in need.

The restaurant has the best food in town. We went there 4 times. It is all fresh, vegan and organic. The cakes are different but also tasty with very little sugar. Coffee is great. Everything is very clean.

THE place to eat in Cape Town

Great place in Cape Coast, definitely worth trying. Cuisine is just delicious, moringa juice is refreshing. Don't miss this place while touring the city.

Nice restaurant with good (vegetarian) food. The staff was very friendly.
Shop had lots of nice handmade crafts and provides tailored clothes. It was great that the shop supports a vocational school.

Nice little shop to buy products originally made on Ghana (e.g. cocoa powder or cloths) and really welcoming people.

I love this restaurant, shop and guesthouse! As a vegan travelling in Ghana, it is not always so easy finding places that cater to a vegan diet as gracefully and flavourfully as this restaurant! Baobab has a wonderful and comprehensive vegan and vegetarian menu. They also have very comfortable beds, affordable stays, extremely kind staff and the most beautiful shop! The most fantastic part of this establishment is the way the money they make is allocated. Every cent spent at the guesthouse, restaurant or shop is sent right to their Children's Foundation in Kisi! Definitely worth a visit, whether you are vegan or not.
