I wish I could rate the banking service of the Cape Coast branch a zero. Four months ago, I went there to make a new Ezwich card because I had lost my old one and I was also in dire need of my NSS allowance. Firstly, the condescending remark the man in charge gave me was soul-breaking. I let that pass by since I was the one who needed help. Try as he would to help me, the machine would not budge and he grew frustrated by the second. To curb the situation, I took his number and told him that I would call periodically to find out if the machine was not defective anymore. Days would turn into weeks and weeks into months, yet there was still no sign of the machine working -- not to talk of the money I wasted frequenting their office weekly. I wondered how they could let a machine go unrepaired whilst they bought fancy balloons to decorate their office space. The only positive thing about their service is the automated queuing system. Even with that, I had to wait for 'God knows how many' hours before I could see those working at the enquiry section. It was heartbreaking for me to find out that my friends who had also misplaced their cards were sorted quickly in a matter of minutes at other banks.

A bank for the people is meant to pat your back and encourage you; the subtle remarks that an employee said about me having to give up my card is still not lost on me. You could imagine how frustrated I was.
The whole place is just a fanciful bottleneck -- a disappointing waste of time, to say the least. To think that I spent money to go to Accra to just replace an Ezwich card speaks volumes of the kind of service rendered there. Customers deserve better!

Been trying to cash a cheque since 11.53am...it's 2:00pm and I've still not received my money. Absa bank Cape Coast branch close to Melcom. This is the second time for me. I see others also spend so long at the counter just to deposit or take money. My worst horrifying and harrowing abusive experience of waiting in an international bank! And that's after taking the 3% charge and not having $25.00 cash of the cheque value to give me. Customer No. 049 attended to by Teller 4 🥱

Extremely bad customer service paired an unknowledgable group of workers made for supremely long and depressing visit to this branch I'd advise you don't visit here or go to another bank all together.
