Avenorpeme Zion D/A Junior High School

Avenorpeme A.M.E. Zion Basic School is a missionary school as well as a Lead for Ghana partner school, with a large soccer field, which is surrounded by a lot of trees, an ideal place for relaxation, reflecting and recreation.
The front view of the block has been freshly painted which has given the school an uplift.
The school use to do well in both curricular and extracurricular activities however, its been a while we won anything major.The school can boast of a well educated staff, which includes, TFG fellows from the nations universities, Project Trust fellows from the UK, trained teachers from various teacher training colleges in Ghana including Amedzope, Akatsi etc., There is a science laboratory still under construction.
The school has a total population of about 125 and a staff strength of 10. The school needs more staff members to be posted to the school.

Basic Education Certificate Examination results continue to improve each year.

Located at Avenorpeme in the Akatsi-South District of the Volta Region, is one of the two basic schools in town and among the Junior High Schools serving as a continuation level for Primary Schools in neighbouring communities. Also, it is among the Lead For Ghana (formerly Teach For Ghana) partner schools in the District and Region.
