It is everything but a market. Trade does not go on there, except for occasional funerals and church crusades. It mainly serves as a socialisation centre.

There are three convenient stores located in three sections of the market. The market stalls are in the process of being upgraded to shops which peddles different types of wares. One has already bee upgraded to a hair saloon.

The huge trees serves as a shade during the sunny weather. Also found in the Market is the E.P. Church as well as the house of the town linguist.

The market also doubles as an electoral polling station. Local drumming groups often meet there. Its a one stop shop for social activities.
