The Buka Restaurant, Osu, Accra

African Ghanaian cuisine, serve was fast, they were very helpful guiding me through the menu and what to choose, of course food is spicy and some are too spicy like the peppered Octopus but even though it was delicious.
Jollof rice was very good, in general each restaurant have his own twist and they all taste great

From the moment we entered, everything about Buka was lovely. The little touches like the sinks at the door and the photo area, 👍🏾👍🏾 Service was prompt, and friendly. Drinks were good. Food was delicious. I would recommend Buka, and also would return.

If you’re in Osu and looking for the best authentic African cuisine then the Buka restaurant is the spot.

If you can, please make a reservation so you get to choose the indoor seating area.

I had series of my first here, my first waakye and kelewele and it was really nice.

The food took a while to come out though, but it was worth the wait.

The staff were friendly and helpful with getting you a seat if you don’t have a reservation.

I was happy to have the recommendation for the restaurant from other local guides.

This place is such a breath of fresh air. The decor is very tastefully done, feels like a tropical paradise and has a lovely vibe. The menu has a good selection of west African dishes (but notw if you want fufu and soup or Waakye, it's only between noon and 3pm!).

The service is very attentive (even if it took a while to get our water...which seems to be a running theme in a lot of restaurants in Accra).

Everything else came in good time though, lovely cocktails and tasty food as well.

Quite big portions, so if you have a small appetite you may want to share!

The manager was nice when he came to check in on our table - had a random discussion on when/if the restaurant would consider taking contactless. Currently they don’t.)

Visited here via a recommendation and it did not disappointment. My meal was very good and was more impressed the way my yam was sliced up. Meal overall was good. The environment was neat and tidy and noise level was good. The waiters were very good just a couple times my drink was forgotten but still a good service. Will visit next time I am in town.

The food was SO good! From the starter to the main meal, everything was absolutely delicious, full and very filling. The atmosphere was great, it was buzzing with lots of people, but it didn't feel overcrowded or uncomfortable.

Easily the nicest I encountered restaurant in Osu. Everything is elegant, the food is great - it's a great place for a fancy date. Wish I tried their cocktails.

I had the catfish and it was good and very spicy.

The Grilled Tilapia was incredible. fufu and goat soup was good as well. Beautifully decorated restaurant with great ambiance and live music. Excellent service. Large portions.

This place has the best tasting food we've had during our visit to Accra. The okra stew, veggie kontomere (spinach), veggie kabobs, kelewele (fried plantains) were all delicious! The only downside is that it does take a while for the food to come, but the staff gave us some free sugar cane to munch on while we waited.

The decor is nice, the facilities very clean with a nice breeze if you sit upstairs, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend having a meal here if you're in Accra!

My dining experience at Buka was nothing short of extraordinary! I had the privilege of savoring a meal that I can confidently say is one of the best I've ever tasted in my life (Banku and Tilapia)… omg the sauce was to die for!! The flavors were so vibrant and rich that I found myself daydreaming (literally) about this exceptional meal long after I left.

The deco was beautiful and very Ghanaian taste. There was live music whilst you eat. The food was very delicious and good price. I have been coming to Ghana for the past 3 years now, I would definitely say that this is my favourite restaurant in Accra.

Great food. Place was very crowded when we arrived so we had to wait for a good amount of time. Service was not bad but because it was so busy you could not get the attention and service desired. Overall it was a great experience with lovely decor and atmosphere. Definitely go early if you can.
