I was in this fantastic shop looking for rope and glue to fix our wood burning stove… the lady that was working that morning was SO patient and helpful, I was so grateful to her!! I had no clue what or where I was looking for and she was brilliant, thank you!
I love going in here and there’s so many good things that I surprised myself by not buying anything extra this time!!! It’s a great shop and you will not be disappointed going here to get what you need - great products, service and people working here.

Went in to use the Key cutting service. Quick, efficient and friendly staff and service like its been for years. Support your local services, we do.

Cracking and well stocked little shop which has saved my DIY bacon many a time. The kind of shop that every town needs and so many are not lucky enough to have. Staff are friendly and helpful, prices are quite ok too. I use the big builders merchants etc but quite often they just do not stock the important 'details'. Great to see that R Dott Thomson is staying!

Great wee shop to visit, I love shopping at hardware stores, so much in it you can't get anywhere else, great for Christmas shopping.

Excellent customer service , staff are so helpful and friendly , was having difficulty getting fence paint and they managed to get some for me in the colour I needed , can't thank them enough , would def use this shop again !

A proper, old-fashioned ironmongers. Ie everything you could want, many things you didn't even know you needed! If they don't have it, they'll try and get it for you and great personal service. Always my first stop before the soulless warehouses I'd have to drive miles to.

Great shop that help when in need . They sell soda stream bottles too.
