Mallaig is a busy port for ferries and fishermen, but offers sheltered pontoons to the yachtsman with an excellent rail connection which makes it a great place for crew changes.
Because it's busy you should book ahead and not plan for an indefinite stay. Nonetheless, Mallaig is a convenient and friendly stop for sailors exploring the stunning Hebrides.

Busy port. Lots to see and do. .parking no problem. Popular with steam enthusiasts. Summer only. .many Islands and remote parts can be accessed via the port. .regular sailings. .

Great harbour with lovely facilities. Calmac booking office is new and the village is right nearby.
