Explorer Cafe Aviemore

Really appreciated a separate vegan menu with the staff being super conscious. Some great soups and toasties. We enjoyed the avocado toast, haggis toastie, and soup. Tasty and filling. Lots of people despite being tucked away on the second floor of an outdoor gear store.

Dog friendly (as are most things in Aviemore), food was superb, my son now wants to eat there everyday (Scot Dogs apparently are the best he's ever eaten). Staff were friendly and the service was perfect. Many thanks to the team there :-)

A bit hidden up stairs in tiso, but worth hunting down.

Good and well priced coffee, with a fantastic view out to Cairngorm wasenough to convince me to return later for lunch.

The food was fantastic,but be warned, big potions, evenwith a big appetite from a run I found the burger hard to finish! All of the party enjoyed there food.

There is a small, but more than adequate soft area that the kids enjoyed while waiting for there food, and again after while we finished off.

Great food and drink and friendly staff, could not ask for more.

Possibly a new favourite in Aviemore😁

After finishing a long rewarding day in the mountains, this is definitely the best place to relax and have some delicious warm comfort food. I would highly recommend their soup and a sandwich offer, their soup was extremely flavoursome and hearty and the sandwich was to die for (bacon, brie and cranberry). I visit this place every time I am in the area.

While looking around Graham Tiso store, went upstairs to the cafe. Friendly staff and great selection of food. Great coffee and range of traybakes. That mars bar crispy, super good.
Defo go back for a lunch visit.

Yesterday on our way home we've stopped for a lunch with our 2 collie dogs. I'm glad we decided to go to Explorer Cafe as it was amazing! Delicious food, great cake and fantastic service. Everyone was really helpful and dogs enjoyed their plate of food. Thank you!

Characterful and very dog friendly. Lovely soup. Marked down though for plastic cups for water. I asked for a glass one and she said they didn’t have one. Unnecessary plastic waste let’s it down. Shame in such a nature hotspot.

I love this cafe, it's part of the Tiso store so lots of lovely outdoor gear to look at. The staff a friendly and the food was very tasty. There were several vegan options, nice to have a choice. I could sit and look at the view of the Cairngorms from the window all day.

This was wonderful - helpful staff, speedy service, plenty of seating choices, and, crucially, absolutely delicious food - had the avocado toast and it came beautifully presented with a selection of salads on the side. Came with high hopes and they were roundly exceeded!

Best place for a breakfast roll and a coffee in Aviemore, prices are great, staff are lovely, great atmosphere and dog friendly too! Couldn't recommend this place enough

Lovely lovely cafe above Tiso in the shopping park. Well worth a visit, the food is really delicious and the portion sizes are decent. They always change up the menu and have new drinks options so if you live here it nice to pop in and see what's on, plus the views across the mountains are really good!

You wouldn't guess it but this cafe above the Tiso shop floor is amazing. They have good coffee and really good breakfast. I enjoy there eggs Benedict. It's also one of the only easy to access places that usually has seats that can offer a breakfast like this.

Great little cafe. Really good and attentive service from the staff. Portions really good, and when their was a small delay with the meal, without prompting, they were apologetic and offered complimentary drinks.
