Ryvoan Cafe

Dropped in for coffee and cake on a quiet Thursday and the place was already getting busy, tucked away behind the main street in Aviemore, I'd recommend looking this place out, great views across the Cairngorm range, fresh cakes and great coffee. Local artwork for sale adorns the walls. Has a really good vibe 5🌟

Well it's rare I dish out a 5 star review but this place deserves it.

Got in for breakfast and saw the menu and was a bit gutted there was no big fry up on it but that was a blessing, we had the most delicious and healthy bowl of granola I have ever tasted! What a treat!

The place has a nice atmosphere, clean, cozy, modern and the staff are all keen, polite and friendly.

Lovely, relaxing space, friendly staff and local artwork on the walls. Choice of oat or coconut plant milks. I arrived a bit late in the day and there were no vegan options left for me to try so could not give food full marks for food - but what was still on display - croissants and tiny cannoli - looked scrumptious.

Lovely place. Amazing pastries, cakes and sandwiches made fresh on the premises I believe. Fantastic local artwork on the walls and a view of the Cairngorms. Free parking too. Probably the best cafe in Aviemore.

Hidden away on the first floor of a business block is this delightful cafe. Views across the valley to the amazing Cairngorms and some delightful art from local artists ranging from 10's to 100's of pounds. Coffee was top-notch and the pastries all looked amazing. We had the pistachio croissant which was gently warmed before serving and had crispy croissant pastry wrapped around a tasty pistachio filling. Great value as well.
If you're in Aviemore and need a cafe, take the time to seek out and try Ryvoan Cafe, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Even better for us - it's Dog Friendly (for well behave pooches & owners).

Lovely interior and friendly staff. We had a bacon roll special for breakfast, which was delicious! The oat milk flat whites were tasty. What a great find!

Great coffee and cakes and great service from owner who made up sandwiches for us late in the day. Venue is welcoming bright and has fantastic views to the Cairngorms. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back.

What a wee gem this cafe is! A few days before Christmas, a friend and I stopped there for a light lunch on our way down from the Cairngorms. The food was fresh, absolutely delicious and well presented. The ambiance and decor were just beautiful with such nice details. I just loved everything about this Cafe and couldn't help compliment the owners, which led to a lovely chat with the lady at the counter talking about coffee shops and Edinburgh.
I will definitely be back every time I am in Aviemore!

What a great place! Have been here twice in a week.
Very friendly staff, a warm cosy atmosphere, and most of all very good food.
Croissant with pesto, mozzarella and tomato, delicious. As was the brioche roll with smoked cheddar, ham and gherkins.
Very good coffee.

High quality coffee, interesting and exciting food options, at this stage there isn’t a complete kitchen but I spoke to the owners and they are in the process of expanding their menu. This place is a force, I highly recommend it

The Ryvoan Cafe is situated in the centre of Aviemore; it may not be in the main street, but is just a step away from it!
Me and my friend didn't know this is a new business and we were blown away.

The location is wonderful: the colours and the environment are relaxing and uplifting, the happy mix of green pine walls and art makes it magic.

The huge selection of food gives you the possibility to come for just a coffee or for a whole lunch or brunch! I surely didn't expect to find delicious pistachio cannoli in Aviemore.
They also do takeaway so don't worry if your next stop is running towards the Cairngorms or Loch Morlich 😊

They are environmentally friendly and fair to the clientele, and prepare things fresh trying to limit the waste.

I dearly recommend this place and can't wait to visit this cafe again ❤

My favourite cafe in Aviemore.

The staff are super nice, have good service skills and make sure you feel welcome.

The coffee is good and they can make what you like and they will even suggest new styles and flavours for you to try.

The food options are limited but are excellent. They go out of there way to use seasonal foods and make them stand out in flavour and style against the rest of aviemore selection.

The place is a really nice spot to just go and sit back and have a coffee. They have a lovely big wooden table in the middle of the room where you can have your whole family or just sit and meet others whilst sharing the table. Otherwise they have many other seats where you can be in your own space.

Located right in the centre of Aviemore. I would highly recommend this place for a nice morning or afternoon coffee of soup and sandwich.

This cafe is a hidden gem, no need to stay on the main street.
The place is clean and the food is absolutly stunning.
I own a cafe in Edinburgh and there is not a such place like that in the capital.

What a lovely cafe. Lovely selection of food and cakes, coffee nice too. Heartily recommend the salt beef brioche roll that comes hot. Really tasty. A firm family favourite and the people running it are lovely. Don't miss it even though it is off the main road it is only 5 mins away.
