Cressfield Country House Hotel

I've stayed here a couple of times and the rooms vary in size quite a bit so might be luck where you end up. My first room was huge with a large ensuite shower room. I stayed in room 10 more recently and it's not as big but still perfectly good.

The service from the staff was excellent but the food! Absolutely excellent with some brilliantly original choices for all courses. Highly recommend the bakewell tart which comes with pistachio ice-cream.

The location is very quiet and scenic with plenty of parking right at the front of the hotel.

Dinner was delishes , young lady waitress was so attentive, polite and helpful .

A great friendly and well priced Hotel. The staff on both arrival and at breakfast were attentive and friendly. The room was really clean and the bed comfy. The full Scottish breakfast was superb. If you are looking for an overnight stop travelling north or south, then this place fits the bill. (Plus the bar was a welcomed bonus!).

Excellent hotel for service, hospitality and the food is exceptional. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here recently on our way up to the Scottish Highlands and liked it so much we stayed on the way back too! Great location just minutes off the motorway, very friendly and welcoming staff, clean, comfortable rooms and a tasty cooked breakfast. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful surroundings. If you want a fantastic meal delicious breakfast and brilliant staff I would 100% recommend this beautiful big Manor house. Met Nigel the owner,lovely guy and doing an amazing job. Has got things just right prices spot on for continued business. Thoroughly recommend.

My husband and my self stayed here marking our 20 years wedding anniversary. We had our wedding reception here after getting married at the blacksmiths in Gretna Green the only thing that had changed was the décor. Nigel and his staff were so very friendly and accommodating nothing to much trouble then and are still not now! truly a lovely place .

Stopped for lunch in the bar. The food was exceptionally good. Great quality, taste and value!! We will be returning.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location was a good halfway point for us on a visit to Scotland, the hotel was really comfortable, with very welcoming and helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, very nicely decorated throughout, and our dinner and breakfast cooked to perfection.

An overnight stay. Very easy access to motorway routes. Beautiful dining room, great food reasonably priced, lovely breakfast included in the room price! Excellent value for money. Very good.

Traditional country Hotel, easy to find, wonderful views. Good sized, comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. Service is excellent, all staff in the hotel are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The only criticism I have is insufficient shelves to put toiletries on in the en suite, but that is minor.

Stayed here years ago. Coming through often for food with family. Nigel, Kelly and the team are fantastic! Food is always good and they go all out to look after their customers

Photos don't do it justice. Good place to break the journey from London to the Highands. Dinner and breakfast very good. Plenty of parking - felt secure. Nice view across a little valley. The bar and dining room were nice big rooms. Lively atmosphere. Room was big, good bed, everything spotless. Staff were lovely.

We live just a five minute walk from the hotel, the view is still beautiful framed from the lovely dining room. The staff are friendly and efficient , and the food exemplary. Doesn't break the bank either for such amazing standards. Will be becoming a regular

Sunday lunch here today. Excellent locally produced food cooked and presented to a very high standard. And all for a very reasonable price. Empty plates all round. Welcoming staff and dog friendly too. Could not have asked for more.

A very nice hotel, tasty food and comfortable rooms. The locals are welcoming, great staff. A great stop over on you way to or from the west coast of Scotland.

Fantastic Hotel!

We stayed for one night to break up our journey from Scotland to England.

Staff were amazing, couldn’t do more for us and very accommodating for our Dog!

Will definitely stay again next time we pass.

Great stop on way to the Highlands. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy. Great Scottish breakfast to start the day. Just off the motorway. Excellent value.
