If you're looking for a unique stay on your way up or down the UK - this. Unbelievably friendly and helpful service, waited up for us and took great care of us. Highly recommend (note: next to highway and train tracks - bring ear plugs)

They were extremely nice and friendly, we had a lot of fun staying there and a bonus they have an adorable dog too. I would recommend if you'd like to stay at a calm environment and a historical beautiful home.

Great location for a night stop, couldn’t have asked for a more hospitable welcome when we arrived late. We had a large family room that was lovely and quiet, v clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast with fresh croissants was just right. The Hall is rich in history and beautiful inside.
Altogether an excellent stay which we will definitely do again.

Excellent hotel in a convenient location just off the motorway. Only stayed one night while I was working nearby but would have happily stayed for longer.

On arrival you can't help but notice the quirky ornaments and decorations in the lounge, the greeting was friendly and the hotel has got a warm homely feel.

The room was a good size and very clean.

We didn't stay in the hotel but they let us camp, manager was still very friendly and the cooked breakfast was cheap and very good. Only issue I could find is that it is close to the motorway and a railway line so when you camp it can be abit loud, although we still slept very well and personally didn't find the noise too much of an issue. Would definetly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here in May,en route to the Moray coast, and liked it very much- so booked a room on our return journey in June. The accomodation is spotless, comfortable, relaxed and friendly. The host, John, will do anything he can to make your stay a pleasant one, including provision of excellent meals. The hotel is very conveniently placed for travellers going North or South, and if you want an unbeatable stopover on a long journey I do not think you will find better...... very good indeed......Ivan Hackman, Milton Keynes.
