Merryhatton Garden Centre

Stopped off here on our way to Northumberland,garden centre excellent with great cafe. Staff were very polite,recommend this centre,some great plants as well.

We headed here for lunch on a wet and windy day. Really quick service and enjoyed a tasty brie and cranberry panini for me and my daughter enjoyed a large, tasty bowl of mushroom soup.
A lovely surprise to find a quartet playing Christmas carols in the cafe area.
Highly recommend a visit.
ps we will return on a dryer day and spend time looking at plants.

I've lived in east lothian all of my life and visited Merryhatton garden centre for the first time today and I'll definitely be back, what a great place! We had some food in the cafe and the paninis are awesome, if you like bacon brie and cranberry I can honestly say this was the best I've ever had, my wife had a lovely latte with some cake, the service was second to none and everyone was very polite and helpful, what a refreshing place, highly recommend!

Excellent food choices, particularly Breakfast. Tasty food all round. Fab ☕ coffee. Lovely surroundings, pleasant Garden centre. Ample parking; we visited 9.30am. May be difficult if very busy. We'll worth a visit. Do try it!

A huge selection of indoor & outdoor plants, a wall of seeds to choose from, a large cafe with play area for small children. The staff are friendly and Catherine has a wealth of plant knowledge! There are lots of gift items, candles, kids toys, shoes, clothing and even very nice jewellery! Don't forget the miniature garden fairys & knomes (Inc fairy doors, mini bridges, ladders & more) I think this place has everything! Enjoy :)

Discovered this hidden gem by accident.. friendly and very helpful staff! Plants are all well looked after, and the layout was very organised. Had lunch in the restaurant, which was great value for money and very tasty! Service was 1st class! Will definitely be back

Have been going to Merry Hatton for years. Everything is first class, food in the cafe, beautiful plants, helpful staff. Now that I am not so mobile I often use the delivery service which is great. I ordered two plants last Friday morning and they came the same early afternoon. Beat that.!!!!

Though smaller than Dobbies, this is a lovely garden centre. We'll worth a visit to have a look round for ideas for the garden, plus good range of cards and gifts. Nice little cafe, too, for a coffee/ tea/ snack/ lunch

We stumbled on this place whilst waiting to go to the nearby National Museum of Flight.

We had soup which was delicious, cheesy chips which were filling and terrific table service from a silver-haired gentleman 😎 who was 100% the friendliest and most professional person that I have seen in the role in a very long time. 😊 Brilliant job!

Popped in for lunch. New process in place for being seated at your table which works very well. Food was served really quickly. We didn't have a cake this time but on previous occasions the cakes have been amazing.

Wonderful Afternoon Tea. Delicious sandwich fingers. Gorgeous Cranachan and yummy cakes. Staff were lovely too.

Nice garden centre. Good selection of plants, garden furniture, toys, books, General items and a pleasant cafe area.

This garden centre is definitely worth a look around. They have some lovely plants outside. If you stop for something to eat I would definitely recommend doing that. This place is one of my favourite. Very reasonable prices. Good selection. Very friendly staff. Their chips are exceptional and never had them anywhere else like this. Served with my panini and salad. I have told everyone I know to get themselves here.

Lovely dog friendly garden centre with a nice cafe, we had lunch there and the food was good and reasonably priced. The man serving the tables was very friendly, sorry don’t know his name as the staff don’t seem to wear ID.

Always a pleasant visit to MH. We had coffee and scone and good service from polite helpful staff. Although busy we were served fairly promptly.

There was a desperate staff shortage due to covid problems which resulted in a long wait for our coffee and scone, no problem for our group just longer to have a blether. What impressed me was the grace and humour of the staff in dealing with this problem, they were lovely and worked like crazy to get the order out. Very well done.

Foods great friendly service. A beautiful garden centre. A wee bit pricey for flowers and shrubs but all garden centres are the same. Worth a visit.
