Smeaton Nursery Gardens

Enjoyed walking around and looking at the plants. It has the feel of a local nursery run by professional, knowledgeable and well trained staff. The plants are of a very high quality. Funnily enough I loved the plant pots. They were so big you could have a bath in them. The coffee shop and gallery are well worth a visit as well.

Extremely well stocked with a great range of healthy, good value plants. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very popular tea room on site too.

This is a very good nursery garden centre indeed....probably the best we have been to. Great selection, informative, knowledgeable and friendly staff, well-ordered and beautifully cared-for stock, and a nice cafe to boot! Add to that a beautiful estate open to walk through, and you have an excellent day out, and if you are looking for inspiration for your garden, you will definitely find it here.

Lovely food, friendly staff, great selection of trees and plants. The gallery is worth a visit also.

Stumbled upon here when taking my 80 year old gardening expert mum on a planned Sunday trip to Dunbar.
We never made Dunbar and spent over 3 hours here instead.
My mum said the plants were the best looked after she'd seen. High praise as she worked in SAC for 20 years.
We decided to eat in the café and had a lovely lunch.
Try the raspberry and coconut sponge if you get the chance.
We both bought plants on the way out. Was hard to resist and the selection is amazing and so well laid out.
Also a word about staff. Really helpful/knowledgeable guy in the nursery and lovely friendly service in the café.
Will definitely be back with my mum for another visit.

I don't often do reviews but when you find somewhere really trying to do things properly it deserves recognition.
Plus my mum was so taken by I just had to.

Recommended to us we found it and were amazed at the sheer size of the place with plants everywhere. We had lunch in the cafe which was excellent. Friendly service, easy parking. We will be going again to have a more detailed look and to visit the cafe again..!

Nice little find that's off the beaten track. Great walled nursery garden centre with a nice coffee shop. Food was excellent and not to expensive, served by great staff who were always happy and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Nice garden centre, with art gallery and cafe on site. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the cafe and I can recommend the cheese scones and the raspberry and white chocolate cake. Art gallery was bright and young lady in charge was very friendly. Had a good selection of items and was something for everyone. I purchased a nice print. The whole garden centre is dog friendly.

Recently my first visit there was most enjoyable. Lovely settings approaching the garden centre.
Leaving East Linton following sign posts leads you onto a single track with passing places that takes you through lovely countryside.
Plenty to see walking around the centre for the greens fingered, lovely cafeteria, small art's type shop. The young lady in the shop very pleasant to speak to.
Parking no problem.
Also set in a lovely part of east Lothian, not too far from Dunbar, North Berwick.
On a lovely day out, very enjoyable.

My husband is a professional Gardener and he loved this place. The quality and selection of plants - some he hadn't seen before- were second to none. The estate has walks which we didn't have time for that will be for next time. The tea room has a lovely selection and was very nice as it was hot we sat outside in the garden in the sun, they had a gazebo area if you wanted shade. The young lady at the plant till was super friendly and had been to Uni in our town so had a little chat about places she knew.
