Alford Heritage Museum

This is an amazing museum. So much to see and so many items on display. A wealth of local history to read and learn about. Brought back lots of memories.
Highly recommend this museum. One of the best I've ever seen.

We visited the heritage museum with our two young kids in May 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very welcoming and brilliant with the kids, and we were given a sheet of items to find as well as colouring sheets to take away.

The collection is huge and just seems to keep on going, with multiple rooms set up in scenes from alfords past.

There are toilet facilities on site, which were clean and pleasant to use.

Will definitely be going back!

Amazing museum depicting rural life in days gone by. It is based at the Old Mart giving it that authentic feel.
Great displays. Well worth a visit for all the family.

What an amazing place! So much to see and so interesting! Kids can do a 'Find a....' quiz and there are small individual rooms with artifacts and working models too! Great for a day out!

Whst a wonderful wee place this is. A walk back in time. We spent a good while at the museum, lots to see. Would recommend a visit

Exceptional variety of artifacts

A fantastic, volunteer-run facility. Enjoyed a variety-filled school trip here; the volunteers were so knowledgeable about Alford's history and lovely with the kids. Great!

A smashing museum looks small but a lot of interesting things to see spent almost 3 hours there - a great visit

Totally surprised when we visited with our toddler. Much bigger in side than it looks from the street. Full of fascinating stuff our boy loved the model railway

Could spend hours in here looking at all the farm implements and hand tools from yesteryear. But something for everyone, an old school classroom, a kitchen, cobblers shop etc etc. Great value .

Visited today with my two boys 7 and 10. They absolutely loved it and the lady that was working was brilliant with them.

Excellent museum with really interesting information. We will definitely visit again.
