This is a busy wee place being able to enjoy to view of the black Isle over the sea to Cromarty. Play some mini golf and have fun on the play park while enjoying some ice cream ⛳😍❄🍦🍧🍨☀😋

One of the busiest places in Nairn, especially when the sun's shining! Their ice cream is amazing, lots of flavours available, lovely coffee and set in a lovely park area, ideal for kids. A little disappointed in the strawberry waffle, very tasty but a single fresh strawberry cut in half doesn't make it a strawberry waffle imo... Absolutely worth a visit on any day, be prepared for a queue though!!

27/8/23:

Another visit for an afternoon snack after a long journey. Arrived 3pm and waited 15 mi utes to get served....queue was about 15 people.

Chose bubble waffle with ice cream, banana and chocolate sauce.
Amazing but very messy to eat as served in a cone , looks pretty but difficult to negotiate!

Great little place for bakes and ice cream. Huge range of unusual flavours....try the toffee crisp ..yum. comfy little shelter adjacent to eat / drink in the shade. Great service despite sometimes huge queue s...we were lucky and got there in a lull late afternoon.

Friendliest spot we came across on our walk along this beach. The staff were young but quick and polite.

I had the toffee crisp ice cream and the salted caramel cheesecake. The toffee crisp was great but the salted caramel sort of just tasted like sour cream. Wouldn't try that one again but could just be me.

Decent prices for the portions. They aren't skimping on the scoops here!

On holiday, here for work or a local, James ice cream is a huge must. Coffee, ice cream, cakes or a waffle, followed by a stroll along the promenade is a must, highly recommended!!!!!

Fab choice of 6 vegan cakes and 4 vegan ice creams.

Huge queue but worth the wait.

The cake below is their lemon cupcake, moisture and delicious.

During one of Nairns busiest events of the summer the queue wasn't long, great selection of ice creams, but I definitely think portion sizes are smaller than they used to be. Enjoyed my waffle cone and hubs had a bubble waffle cone.

Went with the wife and kids today for some hot chocolate. The wife and kids loved it, I have to be honest it’s one of the poorest hot chocolates in Nairn. Now, I gave 5 starts because this was my taste and not the general. The staff were friendly, the service was quick and the seating with blankets on a cool day is amazing.

This cafe is right by the beach and playground. James is delightful and the coffee, hot chocolate and ice cream was just what we needed. This place is special!

I keep coming back to James's for two reasons: first it's a great location, especially on a sunny day when you can sit there with a view across the putting green to the Moray Firth. Second the food and drink is superb: good coffee (and that's hard to find), super carrot cake, and the best home made ice cream on the planet. Oh, and the staff are all very nice people too.

Great coffee after beach walk. Outdoor seating under cover, blankets supplied! Food looked good - we just shared a flapjack.

Jame's has the best ice cream hands down! Great selection of flavours which they have on rotation so you never know what you will find! Maltesers, apple crumble, strawberry & balsamic (trust me it works), cranachan... Plus they have I've cream bubble waffles which I am yet to try... They are huge 😆. Only real (unavoidable) downside is the queue can sometimes be very long.

Great home made ice cream and waffles sold here. There seemed at least 15 flavours of ice cream. Always busy.

Best place in Nairn for ice cream. Be prepared to be patient in the queue, you will not be disappointed. The best bit is James’s at the end of my road. How lucky are we !
Really good place to go…
