Unlike many Antiquarian and secondhand bookshop the store is presented luxuriously with well organised shelves of rare books and exceptionally clean.

Located in the same location since 1939 this 3rd generation family business is famous for raising the standards of the bookbinding trade and having a royal warrant from Queen Mary.

Occupying multiple levels of the building for extremely rare books on the ground level to secondhand rare and more widely available books on the lower level.

The bookbinding workshop could be seen on the ground level. With the staff busy working away carefully tending to the books.

The most interesting and delightful bookshop I have ever visted. It is also a bookbinding shop following original methods of binding. You have to go in and explore such a fantastic and intriguing place. They have a gallery and they close for lunch as one should do!

A first class bookshop with traditional bindery attached. A really good outing for all bibliophiles. Bookbinding materials available for sale and a treasure trove of second hand books in the basement.

I've a somewhat biased opinion...very atmospheric book store with the addition of an amazing bindery - a rare example of an artisan workshop.Very fine examples of art, design and craftsmanship.

Really like this bookshop, proper traditional shop with beautiful books and a wide selection. Nice to just roam the shelves.

Lovely shop assistants, lovely shop and brilliant value... Went in today for the first time and will certainly be visiting again!
