I was incredibly impressed with the Bath Abbey and especially the Tower Tour. I have been on several of these tours in cathedrals and castles across Europe where they walk you to the top of the structure, but this went far beyond that. Our guides (Toby and Helene) were absolute gold, they did such a great job bringing the abbey to life. They talked about the history, took us into nooks and crannies, and narrated the story of the abbey. The views from the top are they best in Bath. I would say this is the must-do attraction in Bath.

Great experience! Absolutely stunning! We signed up for the tour (including clock tower). Our guide was amazing & gave of lots of insights - it was very interesting (and trust me, I usually get bored easily). We climbed all the way up onto the roof - the view is FANTASTIC! Best view over Bath for sure! If you opt for the last slot in autumn, you get a sunset option! We were in love!

P.S. you can also see inside the baths!

We went to watch an Incredible performance of Viennese opera few days ago. The Cathedral is absolutely astonishing. Lots of history there. I highly recommend this place to be visited in summer time as well!

Beautiful building, well worth the small entrance fee.

Pretty big with a long history. Can easily spend over an hour here as so much to see.

Did both the floor tour and the tower tour. Both very enjoyable. Tower has 212 steps that get tighter towards the top. Good workout getting up! You get to see the clock, bells and the Bath skyline. Well worth the effort!

Amazing, beautiful in the inside. Spectacular history and great welcoming environment within. We did the tower tour, 100% worth it. The history of the bells and the clock is fascinating. The views from atop the tower is incredible, best view in bath.

My girlfriend was worried about bursting into flames on our visit to the Abbey but luckily she was fine. The Abbey is stunning and definitely worth a visit. We were surprised to see images of the devil on the huge stain glass window at the front of the church, apparently he was being told off by God! We couldn't do the tower tour unfortunately because my girlfriend had a broken foot, but we'll be back to do that one day. My girlfriend overcame her fear of churches and monks, and bought a wooden monk ornament, I walked away with some holy socks for my dad's birthday present, a great day out by all accounts!

Outstanding Abbey!!! We only had the chance to watch it from outside as it was closed that day! But still… we enjoyed the day and the area surrounding the Abbey…

Absolutely stunning well worth a visit, easy to find a couple of minutes walk from the train station. Admission charge Adults £6.50 but well worth it. Staff are helpful polite and informative, it has a nice gift shop a little over priced. stunning well worth a visit, easy to find a couple of minutes walk from the train station. Visited with my girlfriend as part of our walk about the city on the finale of a 3 day birthday weekend.

I had visited with my father the previous summer.

Minimal queuing upon entry we were swiftly led to the left hand desk to purchase the "Step It Up!" Tour tickets. The interior of the abbey is a wonder to behold with beautiful stain glass windows, vaulted ceilings and a great smattering of alumni throughout history commemorated on the walls.

Our tour was led by Joe & Toby. We were taken up all manner of staircases and roof top accesses. To be noted, this building is 100s of years old so it isn't "accessible" per se.

The inner workings of the bell ringing room, the bells themselves and behind the clock face are all parts of the tour offering a unique insight into holy infrastructure.

We visited when the "Gaia" exhibition of the Earth was revolving within the abbey. A stunning art installation in very appropriate surroundings. Staggering views from all levels of the building offer a wonderful panorama of Bath.

Very nice cathedral. Worth to visit.
Small fee to enter.
There is a tower that can be visited but tickets get sold quickly for the tower.
If you just want the abbey it's ok just to walk in any time.
The abbey itself is lovely, better to go when it is sunny so you can see all the windows displaying all the majestic scenes.

For entrance into the Abbey, the cost for us was £6.50 each. To include the Tower tour was £15 each. Initially, I thought this was quite a hike in the price but it was absolutely worth it. We were given our time slot for the Tower tour on entrance (40min intervals and we looked around the rest of the Abbey beforehand). Our tour guides, Ysobel and Richard were brilliant, full of knowledge about the Abbey and the Tower. You get taken into the innards of the Tower both physically and historically. You climb c200 steps to the top. Our guides presentation of the tour was engaging and entertaining and the views from the top of the Tower were awesome. The Abbey itself is beautiful with an informative section before the shop and exit. You can even dress up as a monk...good for the kids and my wife! Well worth a visit and hats off to the tour guides.

Bath Abbey was founded as a Benedictine monastery. This Abbey is now a Parish Church. The west window inside tells the stories of the first five books of the Holy Bible. It has the tomb of Bishop James Montagu. We can see many memorials on the Abbey’s walls. This is where the crowning ceremony of King Edgar as the first King of all England took place. There are few Prayer Chapels inside including the Birde Chapel, Gethsemane Chapel.

It's definitely worth visiting with beautiful glass windows and architecture. Glad to visit a place so openly proud of being Christian and still feels spiritual even with so many tourists. Would strongly recommend doing the towers as well. Not just for the views but also for the tour, which gives you a lot of interesting facts and historical anecdotes.

Bath Abbey stands as an awe-inspiring testament to remarkable artistry and exquisite architecture. Situated adjacent to the Roman Baths, this iconic structure beckons visitors with its grandeur. Access to the Abbey is granted during specific timings, accompanied by a nominal entry fee of 5 Pounds.

Inside the Abbey, one can delve into a profound and lucid explanation of the genesis of human existence through the Adam and Eve narrative. The vivid depiction offers a deeper understanding of the origins of humanity, capturing a pivotal moment in the history of belief and culture.

One particularly fascinating facet of Bath Abbey lies in its innovative approach to sustainability. The foundation of the Abbey has been meticulously reconstructed, incorporating ingenious coils beneath it. These coils harness the geothermal energy derived from the Roman Baths' Hot Spring, effectively warming the Abbey. Consequently, this groundbreaking initiative leads to a remarkable reduction of over 50% in carbon emissions, aligning the Abbey with modern environmental consciousness.

Undoubtedly, a visit to Bath would be incomplete without exploring the marvels of Bath Abbey. Its amalgamation of architectural grandeur, spiritual resonance, and environmental responsibility creates an enriching experience that transcends time and captivates the senses.

A beautiful, mystical place. Bath Abbey looks impressive from the outside, but I highly recommend a tour of the interior and a trip to the tower. Very professional guides who tell you many interesting things about the history and workings of the Abbey. It all adds up to an unforgettable memory.
