Only popped in and everyone was friendly and service was good. I particularly loved that my pet was welcomed and I didn't feel like she was in the way or unwanted. As I struggle to get out without my pet, it's great that I know I can pop in the spitfire or stay longer and I'll always feel welcomed.

It feels that this pub has gone through amazing improvements. New delicious food and drinks menu. New servings on new plates. Big parking. Has a nice playground for kids and tables to sit outside. Friendly staff. Worth visiting!

Went this evening for a meal 1 adult and 3 teens.
Teens had sausage n mash, lasagne and a burger and plates where clean and no complaints,
I went for the pie of the day which was chicken and chorizo was absolutely lovely. definitely will be back everyone was friendly and staff couldn't do enough for us

How can they do it???? Just over £2 for a bottle of ice cold Heineken and you get a bottle free. The staff are so nice and the food is lovely and very reasonable. I am proud to say that it is one of my favourite locals. And to top it all, it’s dog friendly too.

We visited Easter Monday. Booked via google. Table for 10 with a dog. Turned up to face painting, popcorn, candy floss and a mini shop selling toys. Our kids loved it. Plus there was also. A pet meet where they had all sorts of animals like lizards and rabbits. What a great pub! Food was very good too.

First visit since the refurbishment. Food was very good, presentation was excellent and tasted great. Prices are very reasonable compared to other pubs, would 100% recommend. My friend had their little one and they loved pick n mix choices and their smaller knife and fork.

Meal was excellent and great value. Dessert of the day was rhubarb and plum crumble with hot custard other options available. Staff very helpful and friendly 😊. Great place for couples,families etc. Play area outside and lots of seating for you to keep an eye on the kids. Will be back with my family. Thank you

Love heading to the Spitfire each week for their Quiz and also their monthly Bingo nights.

We've had a meal there recently and there were positive comments and clean plates all round.

We don't have young children anymore but seeing the efforts they have gone to over Easter, it made me wish our boys were young again!

Ainsdale folk - please do support this little gem we have in our village. Mark and the Team work so hard and I can only see even more potential as the days get longer.

Had the pleasure of being invited to The New Spitfire Pub and Kitchen for a preview of the new food menu and it did not disappoint. Firstly I was asked if my party had any allergies at first port of call which I thought was a great idea and not seen that anywhere else, nice to see they are taking allergies seriously. The food was gorgeous and very filling, proper chips and a burger covered in sauce, pub grub done right! The managers were very welcoming and I saw them check all the tables to see if everything was going well and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Kids are welcome until 8-30pm and they even had mini knives and fork for the little ones, which were adorable. My favourite thing about thing was it was very dog friendly, with treats and water at hand which is great and it's hard to find somewhere you can relax and bring the pooch.

Great place to have something to eat and drink.

The Sunday roast we had was fantastic. There is also a little play area which the kids loved.

Plenty of seating and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Will be visiting again.

Went for a cheeky Bank Holiday meal at the Spitfire. Food was fantastic but the service was OUTSTANDING! All the staff were attentive, helpful and keen to advise on food choice,

I have to call out Callum who had been chefing all day and jumped back in to help when we had a very small issue with one of the meals.

Honestly I can't recommend the Spitfire enough. Thank you all for an amazing meal and evening 👌

Can't fault the team here at the Spitfire. We had the most amazing day celebrating our baby shower. Great food. Would definitely recommend to people if they needed a venue for a party etc.

We used this venue for friends and family after a funeral for about 115 people. All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was tasty and plentiful with lots of options which catered for all ages and tastes. Having the conservatory, bar and raised areas allowed lots of places for people to gather whilst still being together. Those who wanted only tea and coffee had the conservatory area to help themselves while others who wanted a few drinks enjoyed the bar area.We would definitely recommend the Spitfire for functions.

Had a lovely mixed grill for me and the hubby with drinks only £38. Has chicken wings and onion rings served with it. You will need to starve yourself for this as such a generous plate of food.

Had my 50th birthday celebration there, with around 30 guests. We had the conservatory area set aside for us. Despite it being a super busy Easter weekend, the manager was really helpful, accommodated all our needs, and went above and beyond to arrange things like balloons for us. It was a really good party.

We are so lucky to have the Spitfire as our local. We pop in once or twice a week, and often have a bite to eat too. The food's delicious and clearly made with love. We are veggies/vegans and the choice is great, but there is lots of other stuff on the menu to appeal to everyone. The staff are all lovely, polite and friendly, and the landlady is wonderful! Our dog always gets a treat and a fuss made of him. A warm and welcoming place every time. Do try the sticky-toffee pud!

Absolutely lovely food! Tried the Prawns & the Salt & Pepper platter, both of which were beautifully done. The staff are nice & welcoming. The owner (Denise) is amazing. Highly recommended!

Dined at the spitfire for the first time following a glowing recommendation from one of our neighbours, have to say we were not disappointed the booking process was super easy via Facebook , The food was amazing as was the service from very attentive staff we really were made to feel welcome, would not hesitate to recommend and we can’t wait to return for our next vist.

Great place with tasty food. The bathroom was very clean. The kids had a great time in the play area. Enjoyed every minute there.

Just gorgeous. The standard and quality that Denise and Gareth have achieved is just incredible, having seen the state the previous owners left it in!
I can honestly say we’ve never had a single issue, and my partner and I have been in a lot as we don’t think anywhere else really compares, we cannot recommend it more! Nothing is too much to ask, and you’ll feel so welcome, more like a friend than a customer!
We needed a place to hold a wake the end of last year for a family member and we didn’t even consider anywhere else, they were highly respectful and so helpful!
Even with all the restrictions recently, they have never let their standards drop and you’re always greeted with open arms!
We’ve had birthdays, family catch-ups and Christmas dinners, they hit the spot every time!
Food is high quality and obviously fresh and homemade - the chefs clearly know what they’re doing and they do it bloomin’ well!
Best place around!!!!
