Booked Sunday Lunch over Easter on recommendation of owner of Airbnb we were staying in ..was absolutely first rate .
We both ordered beef ..came on a large sharing platter, lots of meat, cooked to perfection, roasties, stuffing balls, dish of dauphinoise potatoes and dish of carrots, green beans, leeks & cabbage and a lovely large jug of gravy ...we ate the lot ..minus 1 Yorks Pud ...we also managed a sweet..apple crumble & custard and salted caramel sponge and custard.
Friendly and attentive service & hot plates too ...excellent, will return on our next trip .

Lovely traditional village pub, very friendly bar staff, and delighted that they are child and dog friendly. We had their Sunday lunch, which was fantastic, lots of choice of veggies, beautifully cooked Beef and Yorkshire puddings were so yummy, and to top it all great price, we will definitely be back!

Really lovely pub. Had a Sunday roast here which was absolutely beautiful. Everything was flavourful, and cooked with real care. Would have liked to try the desert menu, but tapped out after the main course as the portions were generous.

It's a pub.
It's not a gastro pub; it does not offer fine dining in a traditional setting. It did not have live music, a great range of game machines or sports television.
The beer was good. The company convivial and audible. Service was prompt at the bar and it was comfortable inside and pleasant outside. The dog liked it, too.

This pub is amazing and the food is 💯 yummy 😋 and we would recommend this pub to go to as we been twice now and I love it so much and its the cleaned place we been too 😀 even the staff are lovely and polite to you

Great little boozer just down from where son lives. Good old fashioned pub and good selection of local ales. Well worth a visit

Love this place. Tucked just 0.8miles away from the Ironbridge "strip" (The Wharfage) is "The 'Dale". No-nonsense locals pub with a great choice of sensibly priced, well kept real ale. Well rotated choice of different beers, normally a couple of locally brewed offerings, with Town Crier usually one of them. Non of your fancy over-priced bistro meals here. It's pickled eggs, scratchings,crisps & a warm, friendly atmosphere only😊

We popped in here enroute to ironbridge for a long walk and again on our return enroute home. Both occasions a warm friendly welcome and great service. Dog friendly also which was great. We live a few miles away but will definitely make this a stop next time we are venturing out on our regular walks. Perfect!

We were camping nearby and called in every night for a few drinks. Plenty of choice of real ale, wine and gins to keep us happy. Very friendly locals and an excellent barman.

A fantastic pub from a bygone era with no airs or graces. Staff and locals always friendly and sparking up a conversation. Usually 5+ local real ales on, up there with the best assortment in Telford

Called in while camping at Iron Bridge campsite up the road at the recommendation of the campsite owner. I had been to Shrewsbury for football and then climbed up the Wrekin. Wanted a bite to eat and a pint and this place provided both at excellent quality and a great price along with a very friendly atmosphere and a real fire. It's the sort of place people will talk to you even as a stranger. Sitting by the fire will a full stomach and a nice pint of real ale before camping on a chilly night was the ideal way to spend an hour. I get into a lot of pubs up and down the country and you will need to travel a long way to beat this place. It's a proper old school gem.

Lovely proper pub, friendly staff, friendly locals, 7 sticks (5 were on when we visited), excellent selection of cask beers, beautifully kept.
