What can I say. Over delivered with service and choic. The restaurant really captures the essence of afternoon tea.
Met the owner, who took the time to explain how it all began.
Well worth a visit.
Lovely selection of food.

I love this place.

We came here for my mum’s birthday, and it was just lovely. The waiter was really really great.

It can take a little while for food to arrive (we waited thirty minutes from arriving to food served); but sit back drink up your tea (which they refill), and have a nice chat.

Don’t be tempted to seat yourselves, they won’t know who seated you, so no one will come to bring you menus, thinking it was one of the other staff.

A fab little blast from a bygone age. Warm and friendly with a real retro feel. I had the Welsh Rarebit, it was divine. My partner had a breakfast omelette, which was very tasty and a huge portion that included fried potatoes and salad. Much recommended for a drop in when in Southport.

Had lunch here today, the Breakfast Omelette with Sauted Potatoes. Make sure you are hungry if you order this, the omelette his enormous. I have visited this cafe many times and I cannot speak highly enough of it. Great food, great menu and great service.

Like stepping back in time! Excellservice and a wonderful atmosphere. Great choice of food from the all day breakfast to afternoon tea. My choice was the home made steak pie which couldn't have been better.

Went here recently with my friend for breakfast. Great location in the heart of Southport town centre with friendly and professional staff, lovely food and beautiful decor. Highly recommended! :)

We stumbled across this lovely hidden gem today! We were lucky to get a table but so happy we did, the staff where so welcoming and the atmosphere was great. It was like taking a step back in time with the music and the decor. The modern had some great classics but modernist with vegan and gluten alternatives which is great for everyday people now. My mum loved the perfectly brewed special blend and the kitchen staff where so helpful and considerate of my allergy. We will definitely be visiting again for the afternoon tea or Sunday lunch as the food was just heavenly. I can't fault the value for money with the pricing aswell, it was a great price for our two lunches with drinks.

Was thrilled to find this gem of a spot with an extensive GF menu! The atmosphere is so cute and the staff are amazing. Best GF scones I’ve ever had. Hoping to make another stop before we leave town.

It’s like taking tea on a period drama film set. A great place for the whole family to enjoy a traditional tea with the little sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream. A very British experience and recommend.

A chance visit on a dreary day and what a delightful tearoom. One could imagine Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard sipping tea in a quiet corner. The staff were so attentive and so lovely to see them in their black and whites. We didn't book but there was a table free. Once seated and after perusing the extensive menu I opted for eggs benedict with home cured ham and a very decent amount of hollandaise sauce served on the side.
The tea was so good I shall return tomorrow to buy some for home. All in all a very pleasant experience and look forward to sampling the afternoon tea which looked outstanding.

This is such a nostalgic tea room I'm very reminiscent of an old fashioned tea house.
Real leaf tea. Beautiful old style bread and butter for toast.
Tiered sandwich stands. The decor and ambiance are very reminiscent of the 20's & 30's with background music in keeping with the period.
Altogether a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be making frequent return visits.☺

Wonderful Victorian tea rooms with a varied vegan menu. The food was fabulous and all plates were empty. The host/server was very knowledgeable and polite. My friends and I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the ambience. I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Southport.

An extremely nice tea room near the front, the decor and service is like going back in time, we only had tea and cake but everything was fantastic, the service is brilliant and the menu for all of the other food looked really nice, if you’re in the area it is definitely worth a visit

Absolutely beautiful!!!!
I had the homemade fish pie, and fish ( salmon) was in massive chunks. The sauce was excellent, and the mash potato top was heavenly.
The staff are very attentive and friendly. The room is spotless.
Excellent choice of cakes and afternoon tea is also an option.
I had fruit tea, and my friend had English breakfast, both loose leaf with a strainer.
By the time we left, there was a queue outside waiting for tables.
I can't wait to revisit.

Nostalgic tea room with service by staff in black and white. lt is always very busy and it's not a very big space. They have a huge menu to suit all tastes and the food is very good. I had a salad platter which was set out beautifully on the plate and was really fresh. We'll be back, space permitting. We may book an afternoon tea which we saw being served very prettily on silver cake stands and with old fashioned tea pots and china cup and saucers.
