Avoid Avoid at all costs Hewa acts very professional however found out the hard way that Baya and Hewa provide really poor service. I bought a Ford fiesta 1.0 ecoboost refurbished engine from him. He advised me that my engine would be rebuilt from top to bottom all seals gaskets etc. I really trusted this guy to drive 6 hours from south wales to buy a reconditioned engine in exchange for mine.

I arrived at the garage to pick up the reconditioned engine and then had the engine installed back home. There was no compression on any of the cylinders

I called Hewa and he asked me to send the car to him. He advised that he would sort the engine out and make sure it's running perfectly with no issues. I paid £300 to have the car transported to his garage.

Cut a long story short the car arrived with him on 30/11/2023 and I never received the car back until 12/01/2024. I had several conversations with Hewa. He advised me that there was a fault with the new engine sending a video showing the car smoking. Hewa advised me to that he would sort the smoking out. Time went on, I was asking for weekly updates, after 6 weeks he said everything was fine advising that car passed MOT.I genuinely thought that if it had passed MOT there would be no issues and definitely not a serious petrol leak. I checked with Hewa several times as train journey was 5/6 hours for me.

I arrived to pick my car up and met with Baya. He advised me that engine was all good and driving perfectly with no issues. It was dark in the street and I wasn’t able to check the car over properly. I drove my car around the corner to the petrol station. Upon driving the car I realised it had no power and the car was bellowing white smoke. There was a really strong smell of petrol. I called both Baya and Hewa and advised them that the car didn’t appear fit for the road they both advised that I should drive the car and that the smoke will clear. I asked them several times if I could bring the car back and was told that it wasn’t an option. I advised both Hewa & Baya that the engine smoking issue hadn’t been sorted and that the car wasn’t fit for purpose and also raising concerns that I would never get home in the car. Hewa advised me that he had to cleaned the engine down due to an oil leak so it was a smell of break cleaner and not petrol. Anyway I got on the motorway the car was dead flat and wouldn’t get over 40 miles per hour. I again called Hewa and told him that I can’t drive the car in this condition he advised that there was no option to bring it back keep driving it will be fine.

In the end I had to drive avoid the motorways and drive through the country roads because the car wouldn’t go above 40 miles per hour. I had to stop several times along the route and Hewa advised get the car home I will pay and accept responsibility if the engine were to blow or if there are any issues. It took me 13 hours to get home. I got the car home after being towed by 3rd party recovery. I messaged Hewa after him promising to sort all the issues out and he advised that he wouldn’t be covering the injector leak and would cover engine only itself. I advised him of our agreement and also of the fiesta ecoboost engine photos on his google website showing that the injectors are out of the head. Please see photos on the website clearly showing this. Since this conversation he has failed to reply. I have since found out that the when he took my car for MOT it shouldn’t have passed. I have also found out that the head gasket has potentially failed. The injectors are leaking petrol badly and again should have been picked up when it went for MOT. Hewas last reply was we don’t cover injector seals. I advised him that to skim head properly the injectors have to come out and he hasn’t replied to date. will provide full update when I get the garage report.
