Old Mill

First time eating here and will definitely be back. Food was amazing. Ian who served us was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was very helpful. The shared starter was lovely and plenty for 2 people. We had the fish grill , cajun chicken burger , smothered chicken and the duo Korean chicken. All were served hot and fresh and delicious. The puddings were amazing too.
I'd highly recommend to anyone thinking of eating here.

I have stopped by this old mill a couple of times and it is a nice place i have to say.

One issue i had was distinguishing between staff and visitors. I would recommend some sort of uniform to separate easier make them spot-able a little bit more.

Food was okay. A little spicy overall.
Didn’t have time to wait very long for service.

I liked the drinks.

Would i go back?

Probably not especially for that particular place, but if i end up being around that corner of Huddersfield some day I wouldn’t mind having tea there again.

Fab bar nestled away near the river. Beautiful building and grounds. Especially nice around the outdoor riverside beer garden. Will definitely return!

Really nicely situated close to the motorway but in a secluded tree lined area. Ample parking on site and a really nice building with cool interior.

I had the steak and ale pie delicious and good portion too. I'm sure we will be back again soon :)

Absolutely amazing didn't book still found room food was amazing and very quick. We went out last week kids free and it was a shambles so was lovely to be somewhere where I mattered and was looked after will defo be returning all staff and so nice aswell so homely x

We had our family Christmas Eve meal here, on arrival we got a warm welcome from the staff, it has a lovely cosy atmosphere on a stormy day.
The food was excellent and beautifully presented.
Reasonably priced and a great selection of deserts.
Five star service from the staff, we will definitely be returning ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

A great place to eat. Friendly staff, lovely food. We went for the Tappas style meal with a mix of starters in stead of a main meal. It was ample food and very tasty, presented well and filling.

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door, we tried here for drinks and a meal and we were not disappointed.
The service was warm, friendly and professional. The meal was superb with good portion sizes, even though they were busy we didn’t wait long.
The selection of wine’s beer’s and spirits was very good.
Would happy visit here again, well done to all the staff for a great evening

Went for lunch with a colleague, food was amazing.

Massive thank you to the awesome little team of 3 who looked after our ladies group today! Even though we know they were absolutely snowed under they were still friendly and attentive and the food was also delicious, the pigs in blankets on the Festive Menu were HUGE!! We will definitely be back :)

24/11/2023 We were celebrating our 39th Wedding Anniversary so booked a table for 12:45. On arrival we were greeted and given a table near the amazing Fireplace. We had a Starter, Main Course and Sweet, all of which were beautiful present and cooked to perfection. Found we were in no way rushed. Finished with a Coffee. So a massive Thank You to the two gentlemen who looked after us.

Had a few drinks in Mirfield town and came back to the old mill afterwards, very handy as we were staying in the hotel next door, the venue is lovely with lots of character as are the bar staff. Very efficient, polite and professional and had time to chat too which is always good in my eyes. Didn’t try the food but it was walked passed us enough times for me to think ‘WOW THAT LOOKS AND SMELLS AMAZING!’ Prices are average.
Don’t normally make comment on the toilets (mens) but they were super clean and are very nice and modern!
It has a big car park and not far from the motorway, also has a nice stream behind too if you’re into the outdoors

I had the no leaf salad and it was beautifully presented and delicious. The food was served within a reasonable amount of time and the staff were polite and friendly. The log burner helped to create a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere.

Beautiful pub, Amazing food, If you eat here, you won’t leave without having a full tummy, worth every penny. We shall keep coming back. Staff are very friendly, their table service is brilliant.

We came here for a lunch meeting and the service by Ian & Bindi was great!
The care taken in making us feel welcome was most appreciated.
The food was good, came quickly and was reasonably priced.
Well worth visiting.

We were looked after by Craig & Ian, both very pleasant, really helpful and part of the reason we would go back again. Food was lovely

We had a lovely family meal. Ian was lovely and made us all feel welcome and relaxed, which can be hard with 4 year old twins.

I called in here on spec and immediately thought I am not going to enjoy this . O HOW WRONG I WAS. The staff were Brilliant, Benjamin was really very helpful and polite, as were all the staff we had contact with. The food was simple but well prepared. My wife had a Leafless salad and thought it was amazing ,her Caramel Ice cream sundae was excellent and looked great. I had squid it was good followed up with Cod and chips. The fish was excellent tasty and well cooked- It is a long time ago that I have enjoyed fish as good. if I have to make a complaint The mushy Peas needed to be a larger portion but saying that they were good. Drinks well The bitter was great and the whisky was to my liking. I sent my complements to the chef and went out of my way to thanked all the staff that I delt with-something I do not normally do. Pity I live 2 hours drive away but we WILL be back. The price was not bad either. This visit made our day. 28/9/2023

Called in for breakfast. Service was really good, dietary needs catered for and the food itself was lovely.
